A nice veg filled dinner

Me & GC needed a treat night so we went with Lana.

We got Vegetarian spice box each, and we shared a portion of Phad Kha pao with veg & tofu and boiled rice, Thai garlic chilli with veg & tofu and chips and Pad king with veg & tofu and boiled rice.

You can request for no oil and you can request vegan for some dishes and some dishes even have gluten free options.

Unfortunately you don't get the option for choosing vegan for the spice box and have to either leave a note. When using their website or phone in (if using just eat you don't have the dropdown option for vegan or a note section on the dish like the website does).

The food from here is very good sometimes and disappointing other times.

Tonight was a very good night for them, the dishes were exactly as they should have been. The veg was very fresh and they added loads of it, the portions were very generous and the tofu was great.

My favourite of the dishes was the Phad kha pao (I always get it), it has sweet basil in it and I really like the taste.

The Pad king is a ginger based dish and it is a good middle dish, not too sweet or savoury and the Thai garlic is a more savoury taste that isn't overpowering. Overall I usually eat a bit from each so the taste mixes and it's great.

The negatives are that sometimes the portions are noticeably less than usual(that's mainly why we get 3 mains to make sure we have enough for dinner).

The food can be overcooked or undercooked if it's busy and the prices have increased noticeably in the last 12 months.

I understand that it might be necessary but it makes it harder to justify the expense, and if you get one of the bad experiences it's harder to ignore.

And no vegan starters which is a good thing considering the price but it would have been nice to get an option.

Overall though, nice staff good food and a few nice options for vegans. Hopefully they have more options in the future and maybe make some vegan specific starters or at least add a vegan option for the veg box.

Pros: Taste, Okay selection , Staff

Cons: No starters , Can be overcooked/undercooked , Pricey
