Traditional Ethiopian food

Handful of vegan options. Their combined plates are great. If you come with multiple people, I recommend ordering it on one big plate with bread.

Pros: authentic food, eating with fingers is normal her

Pricey Ethiopian food in a small, Berlin-vibe restaurant

This is a small Ethiopian restaurant on the famous restaurant street in the charming Schillerkiez neighborhood. It is dimly lit and a bit run down, which results in a nice "Berlin"-vibe. There is some outdoor seating (~four tables) on the sidewalk next to the street.

On the menu there are three vegan main dishes and three vegan combination meals available. I shared the third vegan combination meal (009) for 13.5€ per person.

Sharing a combination meal is a great idea since you get a huge plate in the middle of the table filled with yummy Ethiopian dishes. What I think is really fun is that you eat them with your hands, with the help of a type of Ethiopian bread. I really enjoy the sharing and eating with your hands; it is social and brings you closer. But I can imagine is not for everyone so be aware!

I think the food tasted good but not fantastic. I feel like I have had better Ethiopian food elsewhere. The biggest downside for me, however, was the price. For what we got and having in mind that it is Berlin it's definitely pricey, especially for lunch. But it is a dinner price and not a lunch price so maybe I am being a bit unfair.

Anyways, my final verdict is that I might go back here if I am craving Ethiopian food, but before doing that I'd rather try to find a different Ethiopian restaurant instead.

3/5.

Pros: Eat with hands

Cons: Pricey

Love the food!

I‘m a sucker for Ethiopian food and this one is definitely mouth-watering good! 🤤
Worth it, not expensive, fresh and delicous.
The restaurant itself is very, very tiny and poky. Reservation system failed and we had to wait one hour longer than planned to sit on a table for 2 with 4 persons.
Anyway: I highly recommend it!

Pros: Many vegan options, Not expensive , Big portions

Cons: Very tiny and poky place

it is worth to visit

place maybe is not in fancy style but meals are fresh and tasty; all ingredients were verry good, only pancake as a base tasted "weird" but that was my really first experience with ethiopian cousine so i dont have enough knowledge to judge it;
I will back with no doubt to check another positions from menu
