Excellent food - Edit
We came here on a very rainy day and had to wait to get a table. The process of waiting was organised by the staff in a rather bossy manner, but the food we received was excellent and the vegan choices are varied.

Bacon in my vegan brunch ☹️ - Edit
Chose to book for brunch here after good reviews and seeing the separate vegan menu.
Read moreOrdered smashed avocado with a side of tofu. Started to eat and mentioned to my husband that the tofu tasted like bacon and I wondered what seasoning it had. A few bites later and I saw some bacon amongst the tofu. Told the waiter who didn’t seem overly concerned, just telling me he would get a replacement & take it off bill, which he did - but by that time had lost my appetite. Another waiter asked me if food was ok and I explained what had happened so he got the manager who then also took our drinks off bill too. Whilst I appreciated the gesture, it’s not really the point and they definitely didn’t understand how upsetting it is to realise you’ve eaten meat as a vegan. They have an Indian street food place in the evening which I’ve eaten at before - not sure if they are separate businesses but am afraid it’s completely put me off both places.
Cons: Meat in vegan options!!

Best has browns I’ve ever had! - Edit
I really liked that all the vegan options were printed on a separate menu. Also, the menu stretched further than Avo on toast and scrambled tofu. The options all sounded lovely and the variety of them was impressive.
Read moreThe service was amazing, both waitresses that served us were polite and prompt and we didn’t have to wait long for drinks or food.
The loaded hash browns really are worth ordering, they are delicious.
Pros: Separate vegan menu , Plenty of really tempting vegan options
Cons: Vegan pancakes would of been a lovely addition

Excellent - Edit
Very impressive vegan brekkie (with a particularly delicious homemade hash brown), and delicious chai latte. They have a separate vegan menu so I was spoiled for choice and can’t wait to return! The portions sizes are great.

Tasty breakfast! - Edit
Visited here last week and had a very tasty vegan breakfast. Nice to have this isnt bacon (my personal fave) and their sausages were delicious too! Loved the scrambled tofu. Only downside was very minimal butter given for the toast. Otherwise delicious with nice coffee too

Terrific food and service - Edit
We ended up here because the vegan place a few doors down doesn’t do food on the weekend. The place was packed and with good reason! The food is terrific. Service warm and friendly. And the ambiance buzzy and bright. Separate vegan menu. We had the vegan shakshika and vegan hash. Great tofu scramble in each and big portions.

Lack of thought - Edit
I was excited to try this place as it boasted a separate vegan menu, has a modern brunch twist and is popular in general.
Read moreI ordered vegan hash, which is a layered dish with spinach, mushrooms and onions on the bottom and cherries, potatoes & tofu on top. Well...well...it wasn't seasoned evenly throughout he dish. Onions were stringy like noodles, which isn't pleasant to eat and doesn't match the cut of other veggies; mushrooms tasted like they were boiled - they need to be browned with seasonings in order to taste nice. Spinach was burned in spots and didn't taste like anything. Comparing to the pictures of others it seems like there wasn't enough tofu in my dish as well.
Overall I think that the dish wasn't thought well through - it wasn't cohesive and was prepared in a sloppy way.
Pros: Atmosphere, Friendly staff
Cons: Poorly seasoned dish, Poorly prepared dish, Too busy

Great but service wasn’t perfect - Edit
Great vegan options, I had a potato hash which was delicious. Staff were absolutely lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The only slight issue was that we ordered 3 lots of fries with our meals and only 1 came. We mentioned it and the staff member apologised and went to speak to the kitchen - she said the rest would be a couple of minutes. Unfortunately on the second occasion only 1 lot of fries arrived again so we were still 1 short. We mentioned it again and the staff member was mortified and spoke to the kitchen again. Unfortunately it was over another 5 minutes until the 3rd lot of fries arrived so we had mostly finished our meals by then. They did knock them off the bill though.
Read moreSpeaking of the bill - we did ask for it when we had finished our meal but after 16 minutes of waiting we gave up and went to pay at the counter instead.
All in all this was only a minor inconvenience, the place was very busy and human error is…… well…….. human! We would still visit again as the atmosphere and staff were nice and the food was lovely.

Nice place - Edit
Nice food with good vegan options. Staff offered to put a wheelchair ramp down from me when I was deciding whether to go in. Narrow door to enter but was just wide enough- the bathroom was disabled accessible top and the emergency cord was even to the floor which is rare to see in a small business lol. Staff were very friendly and hospitable

Best brunch in Keswick - Edit
We stopped by Lake Road Brunch during our visit to the Lakes and found the food was fantastic! Lovely staff, great brunch (we both had the vegan breakfast - hash brown balls & tofu scramble were super delicious) and a really good atmosphere. Made a great decaf caramel latte too.
Read moreYou don’t need a reservation but they can get quite busy and, the first time we turned up, they did explain we’d need to come back in half an hour. They were very friendly about it though and had a table ready for us when we came back - plenty to do to kill the time in Keswick anyway! We went on a lovely walk around the lake while we waited 😊

Best breakfast in Keswick - Edit
Easily the best breakfast in Keswick if not all of the Lakes. Brunch restaurant so served breakfast and brunch food all day. High quality presentation and ingredients - not just a greasy fry up eg uses vine tomatoes and they make their own hash brown balls which are well nice. I don’t know what butter they use on the vegan breakfast but it was super tasty.
Read moreThe menu has unexpected items so offers a surprising variety of tasty and exciting brunch items, plus has a great drinks selection. Decor is trendy and minimal, music and atmosphere is good and the staff are welcoming and friendly.
Loved my visit and lots of V options - menu is mainly vegetarian and vegan with some meat options
Clearly marked V options and separate vegan menu
Pros: High quality food, brunch all day, Variety in options , Lovely staff and great service

Would give 5 stars if I could! - Edit
A very welcome addition to Keswick’s vegan offering! Had a full vegan menu with amazing options and all the pancakes could also be made vegan. All of their cakes were also vegan! Was offered the vegan menu upon arrival, which was a welcome change from having to ask. I had the vegan hash, which was delicious. Unfortunately they had sold out of chocolate cake but that just means I’ll have to come back again!
