Lack of thought - Edit
I was excited to try this place as it boasted a separate vegan menu, has a modern brunch twist and is popular in general.
Read moreI ordered vegan hash, which is a layered dish with spinach, mushrooms and onions on the bottom and cherries, potatoes & tofu on top. Well...well...it wasn't seasoned evenly throughout he dish. Onions were stringy like noodles, which isn't pleasant to eat and doesn't match the cut of other veggies; mushrooms tasted like they were boiled - they need to be browned with seasonings in order to taste nice. Spinach was burned in spots and didn't taste like anything. Comparing to the pictures of others it seems like there wasn't enough tofu in my dish as well.
Overall I think that the dish wasn't thought well through - it wasn't cohesive and was prepared in a sloppy way.
Pros: Atmosphere, Friendly staff
Cons: Poorly seasoned dish, Poorly prepared dish, Too busy

Great but service wasn’t perfect - Edit
Great vegan options, I had a potato hash which was delicious. Staff were absolutely lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The only slight issue was that we ordered 3 lots of fries with our meals and only 1 came. We mentioned it and the staff member apologised and went to speak to the kitchen - she said the rest would be a couple of minutes. Unfortunately on the second occasion only 1 lot of fries arrived again so we were still 1 short. We mentioned it again and the staff member was mortified and spoke to the kitchen again. Unfortunately it was over another 5 minutes until the 3rd lot of fries arrived so we had mostly finished our meals by then. They did knock them off the bill though.
Read moreSpeaking of the bill - we did ask for it when we had finished our meal but after 16 minutes of waiting we gave up and went to pay at the counter instead.
All in all this was only a minor inconvenience, the place was very busy and human error is…… well…….. human! We would still visit again as the atmosphere and staff were nice and the food was lovely.

Always come here when we visit Keswick. With a mixed family of vegans, veges and ‘the other’ it caters for us all.

Nice place - Edit
Nice food with good vegan options. Staff offered to put a wheelchair ramp down from me when I was deciding whether to go in. Narrow door to enter but was just wide enough- the bathroom was disabled accessible top and the emergency cord was even to the floor which is rare to see in a small business lol. Staff were very friendly and hospitable

Masala dosa breakfast - Edit
I can’t think of many places I can get a masala dosa breakfast, especially in Cumbria, so this is a win for me. Very tasty and filling it was too.

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
We stumbled across this place after the other 100% vegan establishments were all disappointingly closed on a Monday.
Read moreWe were pleasantly surprised! The brunch options were delicious - my husband had the full vegan breakfast and I had the mouthwatering shakshuka.
Would 10/10 recommend the hash browns as an extra!

This was a good find for 2 hungry vegans looking for a late breakfast. Lovely, clean and spacious, friendly staff and a separate vegan menu with an excellent choice. The food was great, really fresh and tasty and the coffee was amazing.

Took my breath away - Edit
Firstly, they often have the most adorable doggos visiting which, by itself, is worth popping in for! Secondly the food... oh my, the food! It is one spot that you can go back to day after day and always have the most spectacular time!

Best brunch in Keswick - Edit
We stopped by Lake Road Brunch during our visit to the Lakes and found the food was fantastic! Lovely staff, great brunch (we both had the vegan breakfast - hash brown balls & tofu scramble were super delicious) and a really good atmosphere. Made a great decaf caramel latte too.
Read moreYou don’t need a reservation but they can get quite busy and, the first time we turned up, they did explain we’d need to come back in half an hour. They were very friendly about it though and had a table ready for us when we came back - plenty to do to kill the time in Keswick anyway! We went on a lovely walk around the lake while we waited 😊

Great place for brunch - Edit
Good selection of vegan options. I had the vegan shakshuka and loved the spiceness and the flatbread that cake with it was nice and flakey.

Ignored at the door, we didn’t know we needed a reservation. Thought it was all rather brusque!

Looking forward to returning! - Edit
Really friendly welcome and its a gorgeous place to eat. Big vegan brunch menu, the pancakes can also be made vegan (apart from the Bueno one), along with oat milk for drinks. The vegan brekkie was delicious and I really liked the slightly spicy scrambled tofu.

Great vegan food - Edit
Amazing vegan options including standard brunch fare like a vegan breakfast and some more exciting dishes like shakshuka (which was delish) service was a little slow at times due to it being so busy but still nice ambience to the place!

Not one to always go for our less eco Avo brekky, but this looked so divine on someone elses plate, and the gals were so happy to mix and match and add to it. Hell yea I was going for it!

So much choice - Edit
On a rainy day in the lakes brunch was on the cards and were so pleased we went to LRB. Super lovely staff, really nice atmosphere and a huge brunch vegan menu to choose from! We had the shakshuka and vegan hash which were both really tasty and their coffee was also very good! Would highly recommend

Best breakfast in Keswick - Edit
Easily the best breakfast in Keswick if not all of the Lakes. Brunch restaurant so served breakfast and brunch food all day. High quality presentation and ingredients - not just a greasy fry up eg uses vine tomatoes and they make their own hash brown balls which are well nice. I don’t know what butter they use on the vegan breakfast but it was super tasty.
Read moreThe menu has unexpected items so offers a surprising variety of tasty and exciting brunch items, plus has a great drinks selection. Decor is trendy and minimal, music and atmosphere is good and the staff are welcoming and friendly.
Loved my visit and lots of V options - menu is mainly vegetarian and vegan with some meat options
Clearly marked V options and separate vegan menu
Pros: High quality food, brunch all day, Variety in options , Lovely staff and great service

Would give 5 stars if I could! - Edit
A very welcome addition to Keswick’s vegan offering! Had a full vegan menu with amazing options and all the pancakes could also be made vegan. All of their cakes were also vegan! Was offered the vegan menu upon arrival, which was a welcome change from having to ask. I had the vegan hash, which was delicious. Unfortunately they had sold out of chocolate cake but that just means I’ll have to come back again!
