Serves meat, vegan options available. Offers a wide selection of vegetarian dishes including Lao traditional dishes like larb and jeow with tofu or other non-meat ingredients, typical Asian rice and noodle, to western food like veggie burger, soup, and salad. Small quiet restaurant at the south side of the center of town, just on the main road, on the next block south from Green Discovery Laos. Call for hours - tell us.

Very Good! - Edit
Alot vegan dishes. Some were not available but staff offered alternatives and asked if we eat egg.

Fantastic place - Edit
This is our favourite restaurant of all the places we visited during our trip through Laos - and Laos has some great restaurants. We went there twice for diner and twice for breakfast, and every time the food was excellent and the staff exceedingly friendly. I recommend trying some dishes from the Lao cuisine-section. If you don't like spicy food, you could for instance try the greenbean-jeow, the peanut-jeow or the cabbagerolls with tofu, all very tasteful.
Read moreThe menu has many vegetarian and vegan options, you'll be spoiled for choice. My non-vegetarian husband ordered a Lao meat-dish, and the waitress checked to make sure he was not vegetarian as well and understood what he ordered. We appreciated this a lot: it shows they genuinely want to serve their customers as good as possible and not make any mistakes in serving animal products to someone who does not eat this.
I would have given 5 stars if possible. Yes, they do have non-vegetarian food on the menu, but it is definitely a very vegetarian-friendly place.
Pros: Excellent food, lots of vegetarian/vegan options, Very friendly

Traditional Lao food - Edit
A major part of the dishes can be ordered vegan. We had tofu larb, eggplant Jaew, Aw Lahm (a stew) and sticky rice with mango - everything was tasty and freshly prepared. The owner was very friendly and offered us to prepare vegan pancakes in the morning. We paid around 100.000 kip including two drinks.

Best place for vegans - Edit
I went there for literally all the meals I had in Luang Namtha...the staff is super friendly, helpful and even though there is a bit of a language barrier they will happily cook your food the way you want it - no oystersauce, no eggs etc. If you're lucky the lady who owns the restaurant is there and she speaks English well enough. Heaps of curries, laab and mango with sticky rice... this is Lao food at its finest, super affordable and absolutely filling! They open at about 8AM in the morning and close at 10ish. I was even able to get sticky rice with mango as takeaway before catching the bus in the morning and she gave me some bananas for free😄

pretty good - Edit
Nice place, with a wide selection of traditional Lao and local foods on the menu that I was too scared to try. So I just ordered a stir fry veg red curry with tofu atop rice. It was tasty but not out of this world. A good place to go when you're not sure if the street food has animal in it! Also has free Wi-Fi so you can pretend to be doing something if you're on your own. The guys on the other table seem to have ordered a lot more exotic stuff, so maybe better for groups where you can share lots of different local chow.

Amazing authentic Lao food! - Edit
We only came across this place on our last meal in Luang Namtha, as it is a few steps outside the main center tourist strip, but I would have happily eaten every meal here had we discovered it earlier! We tried traditional Lao food made vegetarian (tofu larb and tomato jeow) as well as some typical noodle/rice dishes. There were a ton of choices for vegan/vegetarian, especially compared to most places. And the prices were very reasonable, not as touristy as most places in the city. If you're in Luang Namtha, you need to go here. They even have western and all different foods, the selection is large and food is amazing!
