Vegan Sunday roast also available with Yorkshire pudding batter waffle. Relocated from 1 Albert Terrace. Lunch service 11-4pm, dinner service 5-9pm Open Wed-Sat 11:00-21:00, Sun 11:00-17:00. Most Amazing Vegan Christmas Dinner EVER!! - Edit
Wow! Just WOW!! We had our Christmas meal here and the Vegan food was incredible. My daughter had soup and I had Marie Rose salad for our starters and we didn’t want them to end because they were so tasty.

The staff were so helpful and attentive and it was a wonderful atmosphere.

Great vegan breakfast/brunch spot, menu seems ‘vegan first’ with all the drinks coming with plant milks as default. The plant based food options were all amazing and good portion sizes. Everything on the menu has a veganised option - highly recommended!

Absolutely Superb – A Must-Visit in Margate! - Edit
We had dinner at Lafayette’s Café in Margate yesterday and honestly, it was superb from start to finish. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the staff were so warm and friendly — I was really impressed.

I had the plant-based spiked maple chicken flatbread, made with Oumph! chicken pieces — it was absolutely delicious and came with fries. One friend had the jackfruit slider, which was packed with flavour and came with fries too. Another went for the fishless finger salad, which he really enjoyed. We all shared the blooming onion, which came with an incredible dip — perfectly cooked, crispy, and seriously tasty.
The space itself is quirky and interesting, adding to the overall experience. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking for a great meal, I’d 100% recommend Lafayette’s. Looked it up before we went and it lived up to — and surpassed — expectations. Can’t wait to go back!

All sides/puddings were vegan as a default, everything had a vegan or non vegan choice - and the vegan choices were all a pound cheaper than the meat choices! Think the owner is vegan!

Fantastic vegan options, loads of vegan gluten-free options, including desserts. Portions are massive! Homemade vegan cheese sauce is delicious. You have to try the blooming onion, omg 😍😍😍.

It's so refreshing to see a place where the vegan option is the cheaper option instead of the usual vegan tax. The menu is entirely vegan and includes hotdogs, burgers and side dishes - anyone wanting a meat version of those meals has to pay more. There's an option to combine a base (fries, waffle or salad) with a topping so I went for loaded fries with a chicken katsu topping.
Read moreThe restaurant itself might be hard to spot as it's in Sundowners so follow the rainbow flags and you'll see it! We sat outdoors on the seafront terrace with gorgeous views of Margate's sandy beach.
Service was friendly and the food arrived quickly, will definitely be back next time I'm in Margate as I really want to try the waffles!
