L'Abattoir Vegetal

Nous avons dîné un samedi soir dans ce restaurant du quartier Marcadet-Poissonniers. Il s'agit d'un quartier vivant à découvrir. L'histoire du restaurant est originale, l'accueil chaleureux.
Nous avons goûté les falafels, le parmentier de courge, le mijoté de shitakés, ainsi que les poires rôties au romarin. La cuisine est originale, savoureuse et les portions généreuses.
Pour accompagner le repas, le restaurant propose des bières locales à découvrir.

We visited for lunch.
The menu is not extensive; however, there are many vegan options to choose from.

As main, we had the "Assiette complete" and the "Kefta malais". They were both tasty; but for me the portions were a bit small (I don't usually each that much either).
So I guess if you want to be satisfied you'd need to get an appetizer too.

As desserts we had the "Raw cheesecake" and the "Poire roties" (the other desserts were not vegan). Again, yummy but small, so a bit overpriced for what you get.

Service was good, atmosphere was great.
No vegan marks on the menu; but it seems they are going to work on that.

All-in-all, good food, but not a good value. Will have to try the brunch and see.

So there I was...just leaving the Show at Moulin Rouge. And I looked at my friend and he exclaimed " I am hungry!"
But the hour was 10:44pm. And my friend is Vegan. What ever will we do?
Well he showed me this app and the nearest open place was Abbatoir Vegetal.
"Let's Go!!!"
We hopped in a cab and in just a few minutes we found the lovely place. Very clean, elegant.
We walked in and we're greeted with smiles and nice words.
The kitchen closes at 10:30 Ava told us.
Oh no!
But she saw our predicament and found us soup.
It was amazing!
And then we got to talking and I got to trying deserts and oh my god the chocolate desert was to die for.
Seriously. I am in love. And Ava made a coffee and a ginger shot after that and I'm in heaven.
My friends coming tomorrow and I just have to leave a review because of such a positive experience.
