Bad Experience - Edit
I was in town on vacation and decided to eat here. One employee was beyond rude and had a terrible attitude that I will never return because if it. I walked in and wasn’t greeted or acknowledged for several minutes. I still didn’t even get a hello or a how are you doing. I asked if the special on the board was for that day and the employee just stared straight ahead with such a sour face and didn’t speak for about 20 seconds and all they said was Yeah, still not even looking at me. It was as if I ruined their day just by walking in. Then when I ordered they didn’t bother asking what kind of meat I wanted or how I wanted it. Absolutely horrible experience. I was completely nice the whole time and just could not understand why this person seemed to be going out of their way to be so rude.

Food cart is gone - Edit
Unfortunately, the food cart is gone, but the restaurant is still going strong. It's an amazing place in the middle of suburbia. Delicious, beautiful, healthy food including gluten free carrot cake when I was there.

We visit here every time we are in the area. - Edit
This lil mom and pop is where it’s at! The food is always fresh and so well flavored! The spice profiles are on point and the portions are generous. I love stopping her because I know I’ll always be well fed no mater what the special is. Live a little and try the specials, we’ve NEVER been sorry!! Amazing flavors and humble service makes this place one of our top 3 favorite places to eat in Oregon.

Amazing food! - Edit
First time there (transitioning to a plant-based diet), and very impressed. I had the Nogales Bowl, my wife had the Seiten Fajitas. Both dishes were large & flavorful. I don’t know if the cashew sauce was homemade, but if so, they should bottle & sell it!

great little place - Edit
This is a great little place. Was visiting Portland on business. Had the Tres Tacos, 2 seiten 1 walnut meat. They were really good. I'd recommend the walnut meat one, it was so good. Ordered a philly cheese steak to go for the next day. The flavors were good, wish i would have had more than the hotel microwave for reheating though.

we will go again! - Edit
We came here for our anniversary dinner. Wanted to try something new and not deal with large crowds. After reading the reviews this place seemed it would be quaint and quiet. The people working were so kind and super friendly. The food was really good, enjoyed their salsas and the cashew cheese....yum! We took a piece of their red velvet cake home and it was amazing!

A decent vegan gem in a food desert neighborhood - Edit
Finally left PDX to try this place a few weeks ago, the food was mediocre but the service great. I have just a few suggestions.
Read moreI wish the Kale salad that comes with the burger was massaged Kale, mine was dry with hemp hearts and a little balsamic drizzle. I find that it's easier to digest when it's massaged and evenly coated with a bit of dressing. The burger was pretty good, but as an avid homecook, I could have made something tastier at home.
They seemed to be short staffed but they were really nice! The homey cozy atmosphere was really great too!
The water was empty and the cups still was wet and reeked of the bleach soaking solution which made me feel really sick. :( They promptly filled the water when I let them know it was empty but it was warm and I had to go to the bathroom to rinse my cup well. I wish they used glassware rather than plastic containing BPA, as plastic is an endocrine disrupter.
All in all, we won't go again because we live in Portland and it was nothing special that would spur my interest to drive out there.

Favorite! - Edit
I love this place and stop to visit every time I'm in town.
Read moreThe ambiance is like being at a friends, very welcoming and chill.
I love that they support local artists and often change out the artwork on their walls.
The menu is very Spanish inspired and they nail the flavors!
Everything is very tasty and they use quality ingredients.
Their open kitchen gives a comfortable vibe as you can see what they are preparing shall you so choose.
Their desserts should never be missed and they have plenty of gluten free options overall.
Trust me, they pack well as a to go option and I've eaten their food plenty of times on the airplane.
Pros: good vibes , very well priced , family business
Cons: there isn't one in my hometown

so amazing food, vibe and service - Edit
Super knowledgable and confident staff. I requested a meal gf and soy free and they staff was able to be confidently accommodating. We got a burger, enchiladas and a sandwich all of it was so yummy and well priced. We even got a large (25oz) smoothie for about 8-9$ so yummy! The only sad part was the hours posted on happy cow are wrong. So we drove 30 mins to go back for another meal while we were in town, but they were closed.

Surprising Delicious - Edit
This is a small little restaurant just outside of the downtown area of Beaverton. While I am traveling I am trying to go to places that are unique to the area and not a chain restaurant I can get back home. I am very happy with my decision to go to La Vida Veggie! I had the vegan enchiladas with walnut meat. I have not had walnut meat prior to this meal and I would gladly get it again. There is a walnut taste to it (hello it's made of walnuts!) but it is hearty and filling. I think it add a new layer to a traditional dish. Their homemade enchilada sauce was Devine! The cilantro sauce had an odd taste that didn't fully agree with me but wasn't bad while eaten with the enchilada as a whole. Their homemade pico de galo was good as well. I also got a fresh turmeric juice that was tasty and served in a mason jar which I love! I decided to get one of their special blends of tea to go and since it was the evening I did go for the decaf coconut chai with a splash of coconut creamer... Yum!

Not 100% Vegan - Edit
I am so bummed, I heard this place was 100% vegan, but it is not (100% vegetarian). I hope they update their menu and become fully vegan, if so I would eat there 3x a week- food looks great!

Finally got here and can't wait to go again! - Edit
This little restaurant is situated just south of downtown Beaverton, right near a school. Parking is easy. They have seating for about 20 inside and a large lawn with tables and chairs outside. [I mention the school because they have student lunch specials for only $5!]
Read moreI was hesitant to go here, because I thought it was all-raw and I *always* get horribly sick after eating high-fat raw. This place is *not* all-raw. Yes, they have lots of juices and smoothies and raw items, but plenty more, too. We had tacos, tamales, sandwiches, and a raw pasta. All were fabulous! The service was great, too, and their prices are fair. Tuesday is tamale day, and I was told that the flavor is different each week, but they are always 100% vegan.
The restaurant is not 100% vegan, but I was assured that anything could be ordered vegan (they have dairy-cheese). They have desserts, too, but we didn't try those. Everything was made efficiently and with care. We were very happy and will definitely go back again.
Pros: Comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, Good variety of choices, Tamale Tuesday
Cons: Not 100% vegan

Refreshing, Wholesome Cuisine - Edit
I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch today at this highly recommended vegetarian restaurant, which is a new addition to the dining scene in Beaverton. The walnut meat (veggie meat)tacos were quite tasty, as was the accompanying salad. I will likely return to try their BLT, which can be made vegan with vegan cheese. I think my meal today was also vegan. This establishment is a welcome opportunity for vegans and vegetarians in the west of Portland to enjoy some refreshing and wholesome plant-based cuisine.
