Wow what a fabulous place La Verdulera is and it's 💯 vegan too. We sat outside and ordered starters of artichokes & vegetable salad, a burger and aubergine for mains and two glasses of Verdejo wine.

Nice terazza and the food was quite nice. But the service was the big problem today. Long waiting for ordering (online meny only), waiting super long for the food, my husband got his food and finished it and sat with an empty plate for 10 min before my food arrived at the table! Long waiting for ordering another drink. Quite small portions too, at least the tacos. A bit uneven price setting.

Almost missed this little gem since it was Maundy Thursday and there were many processions making it difficult to get around.
Read moreGlad I managed to get there anyway. The food was absolutely excellent. And generous portions. I’d probably say that several of the starters are like a main course.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. They only have the menu online, but with the help of the charming man and woman serving there, it worked out fine anyway.
A really cozy little street with a square and a wonderful buzz of people, with many other bars and restaurants side by side that added to the atmosphere.
Highly recommended!

Afortunadamente descubrí la verdulera mi primer día en Cádiz y comí ahí los 4 días que estuve. Y cuando vuelva a Cádiz volveré . Ideal para ir varias personas y comer tipo raciones, probando diferentes platos. Pero bueno también puedes disfrutar lo sola. No voy a recomendar ningún plato, porque todo fue buenísimo.

Increíble opción si estás por Cádiz o vives cerca. Estuve con una amiga y aunque vivo en Jerez, estoy deseando volver para probar el resto de la carta. Todo increíblemente bueno, sabor espectacular y un trato de 10. Volveremos seguro y muy muy muy recomendado.

Absolutely delicious food. Yes, there are few vegan options in Cadiz but think this is the best vegan food I've had in most places! Love that they do traditional Spanish food but also burgers/pizzas if that's what you fancy. Also, great white wine! Wish this was closer to home.

The veggeroni pizza was so good. Crust sauce, cheese, veggeroni, all components of it were delicious. The people that worked there were very helpful. Our Spanish is not great, unfortunately, but they did not get frustrated. There was someone that spoke English and a menu in English.

Además de pizzas y hamburguesas, seguro que muy buenas, aunque no las hemos probado, tienen platos típicos del lugar, todos geniales.
Todos los días tienen bastantes platos fuera de carta. Además, los postres, geniales. Creo que fríen con aceite de oliva.

We loved our experience in La Verdulera. We came here for lunch and sat at a lovely table in a side street. The location of the restaurant is very central!
Read moreService is very friendly and we felt right at home. The food was great! We had the artichokes, nachos and a squid alternative followed by two desserts. Everything was very delicious but the squid (mushroom based, high quality olive oil) and the coffee cream blew our minds. We can’t wait to return.
