This location is a bit different than my experiences in Oakland. My burrito had barely any asada. Food was ready quick though

Very good - Edit
*chili roja burrito - very good 8/10, would have been better with some vegan sour cream or cheese tho. Missed the optional addon for cheese
Read more*plain nachos - good 7/10, cheese sauce was good, but would have preferred some melty vegan cheese shreds, or the option to add them. Or at least a cheese sauce that was creamier and cheesier, maybe a little saltier

Throwback to CA Fries - Edit
Saluhall is the newest food hall in Downtown SF that's located right next to the city IKEA. It's clean, fresh feeling, and has a variety of eateries to please a lot of different taste buds.
Read moreLa Venganza is located on the top floor as the only 100% plant based option inside the food haul, and I was happy to see them selling tacos, tortas, and fries to all the hungry vegans like myself. I couldn't resist and ordered their Carne Asada (made from seitan) Fries, which was absolutely loaded and a delicious meal with all the right fixings. It came out to $20 which is a bit steep but these are SF prices I suppose.
Strangely, the hall does not offer any sort of compostable utensils so you'll have to bring your own if you are planning to grab takeout from the hall.

Disappointed - Edit
I dined here on June 23, 2024. I ordered the loaded fries and was very disappointed. It was rather expensive at $18 but that wasn't the problem. I was served a platter that had a base of fries that were not even browned. It was almost as if the fries were cooked in a microwave instead of in a deep fryer. On top of this was a very watery cheese sauce and a bunch of other toppings that seemed to contain so much liquid that the platter was really a soggy mess. And it was very spicy-hot! A little bit too hot for my palate and there was no indication on the menu that the loaded fries would be as hot as they were.
Read moreI had my loaded fries with the barbacoa, which itself was a delicious treat made from mushrooms. This option was one of the three suggested to me by the person who took my order.
This restaurant is fully vegan and I would like to support them. I intend to come back and try something different, hoping for a better result. When I do, I will update this review.
A couple of weeks after posting the above review, I returned to La Veganza to give it the second try that I had promised. I'm sorry to have to post an update that is not very encouraging. This time I ordered the Taco plate that came with three tacos, rice and beans. The rice had hardened in parts as if it had been scraped off the side of the pot. I ordered tacos with the three different fillings recommended by the clerk of the counter. They all tasted the same, mostly a mass of dark and salty fillings. There was so much salt that you really couldn't taste the actual ingredients that inspired the fillings. The tacos were topped with a couple of sliced radishes that did little to act as a counterpoint to the highly seasoned filling.
There are other vegan restaurants and restaurants serving vegan options at the same location. Next time I will give one of those a try instead of La Veganza.

Que Rico! - Edit
Raul has been around for a long time and serving up some delicious and flavorful creations since day 1. I don't think you can go wrong when trying to decide between tacos, nachos, or burritos. I went with the taco plate and choose carnitas, al pastor, and barbacoa and all 3 were amazing and full of flavor. I left full but I will be back for more.

Really delicious - Edit
I got the Nachos Al Pastor and it was super yummy. The mushroom protein was deliciously savory and not too spicy, the vegan cheese sauce was delish. I’ll definitely be going back!

So delicious! - Edit
I got the loaded nachos al pastor, and it was amazingly delicious! Large portion but not too big—I ate it all! My dining companion got the loaded fries—also great! Pleasant seating area in the Saluhall, too. The guy at the counter was helpful in helping me choose what type of topping to get on the nachos because I had never eaten any of the “stuff” it is mimicking and knew nothing about it. It really was so tasty. Recommended!

The Bay Area really LOVE and support this guy.
The service is fast and quick. That's a sign of efficiency.
I recommend trying one of everything.
First, start off with his tacos!
The guy put all his heart and soul serving you the BEST food. It shows. Even though he's worked non stop for you, he's able to bring a smile.
All I can say, is give it a try. I wish more restaurants is like this.
I have no complaints. I"m looking forward to more savory foods, not the dessert foods (I'm cutting down on sugar)
Pros: awesome food, and the sauce is just unique, fast friend service, vegan vegan vegan, amazing
Cons: wish more places are like this

Tacos for the win 🌮🌮🌮 - Edit
So this review is for the tacos, I tried all three and they are amazing! Authentic, and even better than the next best vegan taco in San Francisco (taco boys). Per the owner/chef, the entire menu is nut free. I need to go back and get a burrito soon.

Wife hit this place up for her lunch and we split that and what I ordered and another place. I really liked the nachos. The beans had a great taste. Tons of other ingredients on it too.
