Lively vegan restaurant with energetic staff and good food - Edit
The location is perfect and the menu extensive. Staff are friendly and efficient. We had a couple of their specials the skewers served with veggies and stuffed eggplants. Wine by the glass or bottle and all reasonably priced. We enjoyed our meal very much and The host is delightf.

You can find seafood dishes that you can't usually find in vegan restaurants. The prawns were quite impressive.

Fully vegan restaurant - Edit
I had the barbecue seitan. I liked the vegetables and the potatoes that came with it, but not the seitan. Not sure if it should taste like a traditional meat dish. Haven't eaten this kind of seitan before. Also the mango flan was just ok.

Vegan gem in Cadiz - Edit
I went to La Veganesa for lunch during a day trip to Cadiz. Google and iMaps both said it was closed the day I was there (Tuesday), but thankfully I went by anyway because it was open. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Service was great. The menu is quite large and has a variety of dishes, including food typical of the Andalucia region. I went with the server's recommendation - the pinchos veganos. While I waited for my food, she brought me an appetizer on the house that was like a potato salad with spinach and olive oil. It was very good. The pinchos were great. They were like seitan skewers that came with sautéed vegetables. Everything was fresh and made to order. Place is located on a quiet street and has indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend.

Had a fantastic lunch here. My non vegan friends were also happy!
Read moreMenu has a large variety. We got some grilled mushrooms from the special menu. The mushrooms were incredible! Also had a chickpea stew and a soup which were good but a little salty. Service is great and friendly.
The decorations were also lovely. Nicest bathroom I’ve ever been in.
Only thing is the food was a bit salty for us but still delicious.
Pros: Many options on the menu, Lots of seating
Cons: Food was a bit salty for us, One of the specials was pricey

BEWARE WITH ALLERGY - Edit
I hate to leave a fully vegan restaurant a bad review but feel I have to warn others in case you plan on dining with a allergy. My friend has a nut allergy and is fluent in Spanish so no issue with a language barrier, however the allergy’s listed on menu weren’t correct and she spoke with the server before ordering to check. We ordered a few dishes, the first two received were nice and fine but the third dish had some kind of very fine (so hard to tell) nuts on top. Luckily she only had a tiny bit and she’s not anaphylactic but it made her ill and ruined the rest of the night which isn’t ideal on a short break. The server came over and took the dish away and apologised and of course took it off the bill. I feel a apology and taking the one dish off the bill wasn’t really a adequate response to making someone potentially very ill. Otherwise the food was fairly good, service was very slow - on a Friday night one server and one guy in the kitchen. Just be aware the allergy notes on menu can’t be trusted.

So so good! - Edit
Veganized spanish classics, "seafood", and some international dishes such as Harina, chickpea curry or burgers. Everything we tasted was SO delicious and freshly made. Be aware that these are not Tapas, but actual meals - servings are copious! We were sad that we could not finish everything we ordered. Don't miss out on this place!

Amazing! - Edit
One of my favourite places I've been while on holiday! We had a lovely table outside and the staff were great. The food was even better! Unfortunately we were only in Cádiz for the day as otherwise I would have been back there the following! We ordered a range of tapas plates and they were all great but the albondigas and tortilla were the standouts. Other vegan spanish omelettes can sometimes have a bit of a gritty texture from chickpea flour, but the texture on this one was spot on!

vegan Spanish food dream come true! - Edit
La Veganesa in Cádiz excels at transforming classic Spanish dishes into delicious vegan alternatives. Their menu features inventive takes on local favourites, like vegan fried “calamari” and seitan that captures the hearty essence of traditional Spanish cuisine.

Bastante bien - Edit
Comida bastante aceptable, trato y lugar agradables.
