Appears to be closed – Fermée - Edit
The system gave me a blank page for updates, so I’ll leave this note in the reviews. When I was here on 26 May 2025, the restaurant was permanently closed and only a trace of the restaurant’s sign remained.

Updating my review with the new pictures & menu - Edit
I realized the pictures I updated were from 2022, updating them with their new burger (the one with the pink bun is their latest version), still vegan of course, and their menu. I go there every summer so will add new pictures soon in case their menu has changed!
Read moreIn any case, I recommend this place: their interior garden is a hidden gem, their cocktails are delicious. Their vegan burger could be improved (I found the "burger" made out of chickpea flour a bit dry) but there's so little vegan offerings in l'Île de Ré that I'm not gonna be picky. I love the spreads they offer as appetizers (hummus, bell pepper spread). Highly recommended, and book in advance if you're going there in high season!

The vegan burger is very underwhelming, just a boring chickpea patty which at €19 is a massive rip off especially as the meat dishes are priced the same! They hadn’t washed the salad leaves well as there was a dead caterpillar in my food…The servers are friendly though and the cocktails were good

A great La Flotte option for vegans or vegetarians - Edit
If you are plant-based, it’s best to book a few days in advance to let them know you are vegan We had a lovely meal served in a beautiful courtyard garden. Run by two sisters: One was the chef. The other one was the front-of-house sister. She was a wonderful character whose personality & warmth brought the restaurant to life.

The experience at the restaurant was great and very very nice.
Read moreWe called them a few days before the diner and asked if they could make something vegan. What we got was better that what we've expected.
We got a full menu with an entrance, a very nice homemade burger and a great dessert.
The staff is very nice and welcoming, the food is great !
If you are at the Island of Ré, you should definetely go to thus restaurant but calk them before to have a great vegan experience. Even though I'm pretty sure you can have a very good vegan diner without asking before. I think that always serve the vegan burger.

Great service and food, although not many options - Edit
Very nice place, great food, and the service was really attentive. If you are fully plant-based / vegan make sure to ask for it, because they might use some butter in some preparations.
