Delicious food with a vegetarian menu that is easy to make vegan!

They have a vegetarian menu that is easy to make vegan by omitting sour cream and cheese. My favorite is their vegetarian burrito and my omnivore family loves all of their food! Everything is very flavorful and the portion sizes are huge. FYI the red salsa is very spicy so beware!

Pros: Clearly labeled vegetarian menu, Easy to make vegan by omitting sour cream/cheese, Delicious food for great value

No vegan options, but can make vegetarian

No vegan options that were labeled or I know of, but vegetarian options like veggie fajitas. Good food overall and cheap prices.

there is nothing vegan or vegetarian here

I went in and ask the manager if the rice were cooked with beef stock and he said yes and the refried beans have animal fat

Only veg option is guac

I used to come here all the time. Their guac is amazing on its own, and they had a bunch of yummy things easily veganizable. Turns out their rice AND beans use beef stock. It’s not even vegetarian!!!!

Cons: False advertisement, EXTREMELY limited veg options, FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

Just ask

This place is very accommodating all you have to do is ask. The staff is super sweet and will often do off menu requests. If you wanted something made vegan but doing a sub just ask. They’re almost always willing to make it happen.

Pros: Friendly and accommodating , Inexpensive , Large portions

Cons: I have none

This is my favorite restaurant in Gainesville! They have a separate vegetarian menu with loads of options that can easily be made vegan. My favorite is their veggie burrito with refried beans, mexican rice, and grilled vegetables.

excellent choice

We were looking for a place for our family of 3 vegans to go with our family living in Gainesville who are carnivores. They always pick the place, and there are rarely many vegan options, so Happy Cow to the rescue. This place has a whole vegetarian menu section which is easily made vegan by dropping the cheese and sour cream (except for the egg entrees). We chose the vegetarian #1, #2, and #10, plus chips and salsa, and there were plenty of choices for the carnivore part of the family. All of the food was delicious, and we all agreed it was some of the best Mexican we've had at a restaurant. Very large servings. We will definitely go back.

Pros: Loads of vegan options (if you ask for no sour cre, Inexpensive especially for the quality and the qua, Great choice for a mixed party of vegans, veg head

Cons: Very crowded (for obvious reasons + We went at lun

Go!

This is a small business, and it's great! The owners will remember you, even if you don't go in that often. As a vegan I usually just get the bean burrito without cheese or sour cream. But I could live off their chips and guacamole!!

Pros: Fresh hot chips, Tasty food

Cons: Limited veg options

Delicious beans and rice

A full vegetarian menu with vegan options. Frankly, I love to just get the cheap burrito salad (beans, rice, lettuce, tomato and avocado!). They offer prepackaged sour cream on the side but I just tell them I don't want it and they put it back in the fridge. They have two complimentary hot sauces which are great supplements to the burrito, both very spicy. If you order a side of beans make sure to say no cheese!

Pros: cheap, great beans and rice

Cons: too much styrofoam, limited english
