Visiting from Canada, while travelling we are fortunate to be able to tour vegan restaurants all over the world, Porto Alegre being dear to our hearts as we were born here. The food at La Rouge Bistro is extraordinary, so are the people behind it. World class food, with nut based cheese, tastefully presented dishes, divine sauces, with mostly locally sourced and organic ingredients, something rare to find in Porto Alegre. We went to La Rouge three times during our short stay. It was an enormous pleasure to have met the owners Gunther and Roberta and to learn about their involvement with the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. They are ethical vegans promoting the cause through delicious food. We are so glad you exist! If you only have time to try one restaurant while in the city, make it this one. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

La Rouge Bistro is a must know place in Porto Alegre! 100% vegan, 110% delicious and most of the ingredients are organic! You'll be really well served too!

Mostly organic and very refined food. The owners are great, very friendly. I loved the truffles and the amazing organic tea selection.

[English] Charming vegan bistrot where you are served by the owners. Perfect place for that special occasion. I definitely recommend the "India delight" sandwich (grains & nuts burger with tomato, lettuce and mango chutney and the raw vegan truffles.
