Parrillada argentina vegana ! - Edit
Una gran alternativa para probar la comida típica argentina pero de forma vegana, se agradece el esfuerzo, pese a que al ser vegano uno no desea buscar ese sabor, creo que es una buena forma de aproximar a los no veganos

Very oily and not worth the hype - Edit
After stopping at Spike Lion we were recommended this place however it wasn't on our list as it opened at 8 and we like to eat early. The reviews were fantastic and I was so excited. I was going with a member who is not full vegan so I was excited to show how good vegan food could be but I was disappointed as was she. We got there at 7:55 And were waiting for them to open, the woman asked us what we wanted and I told her we wanted to eat. They opened 2 minutes late but that happens. We got the choripan vegano, parradilla vegans, papa rustica, ensalada, jamon y queso empanada, canasita de queso, copita brownie con nueces y Copita marroc. When we entered tje restaurant my member commented that it smelt like old oil but I told them to be positive. We received the food fast which was good. The choripan was with chimichurri which was good . The empanada was tasty. The copita de queso tasted weird but I didn't know what to compare it with. The parradilla was not evenly cooked , and the meat that tasted good was the one that looked like steak. The French fries were very oily and soggy , and did taste like old oil as the other food (parradilla) was very oily too. Their desserts were very good. The only thing they could improve is to write a sign that it is cash only or maybe advise the diners there, hope this place can improve in the future . If I went back I would stick with the choripan, empanada And desserts. I also noticed on the bad comments about the restaurant the owner decides to write back comments that I feel do not help improve their future business(google). These reviews are to help the future of the business and to be able to allow more people to go and enjoy the meals whilst they can fix the errors with their food but here's to hoping for improvements in the future.

The very best in Buenos Aires - Edit
I loved everything about this place: first of all it is original and authentic! It’s small (often you have to wait in the line to get a seat) but cosy. Staff is lovely and very eager to help and accommodate you even if you show up 15 min before closing time. We went there several times and the place was always full, with people coming and going with take away as well, great well done!! Food is delicious and very fulfilling, huge portions, cheap price. Don’t go if you don’t like mock meat .. otherwise it’s a must in Buenos Aires!

Loved loved loved - Edit
Loved everything about this place. Vibe was great (though we were lucky to have gone for an early lunch because it got busy). Service was great. And the “ham and cheese” empanadas were the #1 thing we ate in Argentina.

No surprise it was so crowded - Edit
This small and cozy place has serious good argentinean (made vegan) food. I strongly suggest the empanadas and the "chorosaurio" sandwich. It deserves five stars, for sure, but would be even better if the dessert options were more interesting.

Not so healthy but all for the cause - Edit
It was toó oily for me and my partner but im glad it exists for those transitioning or who like a greasy fix. My partner had some seitan that immitated pork fat and it was toó close to the real thing for US to enjoy. Not our style but go for it if youre into that. Cute atmosphere

Super good vegan food - Edit
I enjoyed very much the empanadas. The rest of the options taste so much as meat and look so much like meat that I could not eat them (I have been eating plant based for more than 30 years) but I think it is a great place specially for people transitioning to veganism that still miss the taste of meat.

Terriblemente rico!!!! - Edit
Antes de ir, había leído y escuchado montones de buenas referencias de esta parrilla. Me terminé sorprendiendo igual!

Ignored - Edit
The food really was amazing, however when the restaurant closed, at 5pm, the waitresses just waited for us to leave. Not taking our plates and they locked the door already. Instead of taking the plates and asking if we would like a coffee or anything 'cause they are about to close, they just hung around behind the bar.

Chorrisaurio - Edit
I was there twice when I was in B.A.
Read moreThe chorrisaurio is pretty good. The desserts I got where nice too. But the tempeh did not taste. They fry a peace of tempeh and do not season it. Some soysauce or other seasoning would improve the taste.

É um lugar simples e agradável, o chorisauro é tão grande que tive que embrulhar pra trazer e é muito gostoso. Só achei que as atendentes poderiam ser um pouco mais atenciosas, mas nada que caracterize um mau atendimento.

The First Vegan "Parrilla" in Buenos Aires - Edit
Buenos Aires is known for its "parrillas": restaurants where you can eat all kinds of meats. The idea of a "parrilla" without meat might sound strange, but not for a vegan! I'm glad we have now a veggie-friendly "parrilla" in Buenos Aires.
Read moreThe place it's beautifully decorated, looking just like a typical "parrilla". Everything you'll find here is vegan. I went two times and had empanadas, the chorisaurio and a vegan "matambre" with fries. The food tastes great and I liked the sauces. The empanadas (I ordered the fried ones) weren't too greasy. I can't say the same with the fries. The potatoes were bathed in oil (really, it was too much). I like having fries, but I think the next time I'll order a salad as a side dish here. I didn't try the desserts but all of them looked really good.
If you're visiting "La Reverde" and plan to eat there make sure to arrive early. The place is small and has very few tables. You can also buy food to take away.
By the way: at the time of this review (March 2018) the restaurant still accepts only cash (they don't accept credit nor debit cards). Hopefully they will change this soon!
Pros: Great fake meats and empanadas, Generous servings, Warm and kind service
Cons: Some foods (ie. fries) are too greasy, Only accept cash as payment method, Small place, open only from 1pm to 5pm
