Great focaccia in the heart of Copenhagen - Edit
If you're in the mood for a great meal with vegan-friendly options, and you love a laid-back, vibrant vibe, this place is a must-visit! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with lively Italian music in the background and authentic decor. I had the vegan focaccia and vegan panacotta that tasted sooooo good. The focaccia really is excellent here, fluffy and deliciously seasoned. On top of that, the prices are really affordable, especially considering the quality of the food and the central location. Gimmicky with bad vegan options - Edit
I should’ve known it when I walked in and the loudest Italian pop was blaring out of the speakers in the cramped space that looked more like a movie set than a real restaurant that this place wouldn’t be any good. The guy who took my order said every other word in italian, then translated it to english. I'm sure I was supposed to find this “quaint” and “authentic” but it was honestly deeply annoying, and made the interaction twice as long as it needed to be.

There were plenty of empty tables all around so I’m not sure why they had to do it next to mine. He knew they would be shooting “content” because I heard him discuss it with them earlier. I felt so uncomfortable that I had to take the rest of my limp, oily sandwich to go. When he asked how it was and I just responded “good” he looked so dejected, as though his own nonna was in the back of the cucina cooking everything with amore lmao. Absolutely ridiculous

Lukewarm in more than one way - Edit
Unfortunately it’s the typical tourist trap. Overly expensive, lukewarm, slightly too salty, claustrophobic space and loud music, weird fan, and lastly their vegan option is so-so at best with them only being cheap in the amount of filling they use. 99,- for a piece of focaccia with some spread and little bit of lettuce, zucchini and tomatoes is robbery at broad daylight.

The person behind the counter was such a sweetheart. He spoke Danish and English. I ordered the vegan focaccia, which was soooo delicious - quite oily though. We would have preferred to use cutlery (we didn’t ask).. We will definitely be back.

This is that special kind of place that you thought didn’t exist anymore, a little side street joint that only really makes one thing, but it’s the best one of those things you’ve ever had, and you won’t be able to shut up about it, and the service is so good and unpretentious that the owner makes you feel like a close personal friend.
