Authentic mexican flavoura - Edit
This is the closest to true mexican food I've had anywhere outside of Mexico. A few vegan options on the menu and staff were happy to make other options vegan.

This place was so delicious. As someone from southern california i was suprised to find my favorite mexican vegan food in iceland. We tried the vegan tacos and the vegan flautas. Both were incredibly delicious. I normally don’t like vegan chorizo but this was SOOO good. Highly recommend. The ambience is also very nice on the second floor with a view of Laugavegur street.

The vegan options are limited to 1 burrito and 1 type of taco but that is really all you need. Both are beautifully balanced, tangy and ‘meaty’ with guacamole and sour ‘cream’. This was the best meal we had on our trip!

I like that there weren’t many options to choose from, because we could barely decide as it was! We both got the vegan chorizo burrito and it was insanely delicious. It came with some chips on the side which was awesome to add some texture to the dish. 10/10 recommend, can’t wait to have it again next time we’re in town. Also, we saved the burrito for a later dinner and it kept perfectly well for hours.

Read moreThe tacos were incredible and had incredibly rich flavor. You can order 1, 2, or 3 tacos or a tres salsas plate. I ordered 3 and had they not come the fullest I've ever seen fresh tacos come, I would've ordered more simple because they were that good.
I loved them potatoes and chorizo, the fresh salsa that came on them was amazing and the purple cabbage was a perfect topping.
Pros: Permanent vegan option , Kind and friendly , Huge portion inside each taco

Never expected that some of the best tacos I’ve ever tasted would be in Iceland - Edit
I’ll cut to the chase: these tacos kick ass. The sauce is a nice balance of spicy and sweet with a bunch of flavor, the ingredients taste fresh, the chorizo is good, and the ratio of all the ingredients is just right. Nothing overpowering and all the flavors work together. These were honestly some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, and my omni company were equally impressed with their meals.
Read moreI talked to the owner/operator for a bit and he seems like a great guy who really takes pride in his food. He immigrated to Iceland from Mexico city and just opened up the restaurant a month or so ago. The restaurant itself is a tiny little place with a handful of small seats and your food is prepared right in front of you.
Seriously, go get the tacos here.
