Amazing! - Edit
They have a separate vegan menu with great options for both pizza, pasta dishes and sandwiches. Would give 5 stars for the food (but HappyCow does not allow this rating for non vegan/vegetarian restaurants). A must for any vegan in Tirano!

Delicious vegan options - Edit
They have a vegan menu. The friendly couple that runs La Pizzicata can guide you through the vegan options. We had a pizza and a big sandwich (Pucci). Regional food from Puglia. They also had a vegan dessert. Everything was delicious.

Ottimo - Edit
Piccolo locale con pochi tavolini quindi non molto affollato; self service parziale, apparecchi e sparecchi in autonomia, la signora gentilissima prende gli ordini al bancone e porta al tavolo i piatti pronti. Tanta scelta, molte opzioni vegetariane e vegane buonissime! Materie prime ottime! Consigliato (anche d’asporto)!

This place is really a pearl! - Edit
This place is truly a pearl compared to the local restaurants. Both for the food offer, and for the prices.
Read moreThe restaurant is very simple, mainly take-away but there are tables for eating food on the spot.
They have a dedicated vegan and vegetarian menu, we went for lunch and you can choose between first courses, second courses, pizza, puccia, fried foods, vegetable dishes, cheeses. Apulian craft beers, Apulian wines even in small formats, desserts and so many delicacies.
In short, a corner of Puglia, in Valtellina.
It would have been a pearl even if it were in a bigger city... finding it in Tirano, in Valtellina is truly incredible!
It is very popular with locals and tourists, sometimes it can happen that you have to wait a while. Everything is done expressly. Very low prices: 2 of us took 1 fried food and 1 vegetable dish as an appetizer, 2 first courses, 1 second course with side dish. Half a bottle of wine, water, 1 final pasticciotto and 2 coffees. Total: 38 euros.
In the evening we returned, 1 pizza, 1 puccia, 2 half liter beers, 1 water, 20 euros
It doesn't compare to other places in the area!
Suggestion: take the vegan pizza n° 3: Broad bean cream, sautéed turnip greens, grilled aubergines, chilli pepper. Fabulous!
Stra-recommended
Pros: very low prices, High quality food, Lots of variety of choices
Cons: There is no bathroom, if you don't have time, sometimes there is a wait., Disposable plates and cutlery

Low prices, high quality, very good Southern Italian food - Edit
Small place that serves pizza, puccia (large sandwiches) pasta, and typical Apulian specialties. They have a dedicated vegan menu for Pizza and Puccia but also much more! They have vegan first courses (orecchiette with turnip tops, with aubergine and caper sauce, tomato and basil, etc.) and a wide selection of vegetables in oil, stewed, sautéed, grilled. In addition to some specialties that I recommend such as broad bean cream with chicory. Very "easy" place with self-service. But very low prices and very high quality! The managers are very helpful, ask and they will do everything to please you!
Read morePros: price, generous portions, variety of choice
Cons: there is no bathroom, simple place, not for romantic lunches and dinners, they also serve meat

thanks for the review! in Italy there are many ways to serve food, different even in the legislation! We are artisans, we are only 2 (husband and wife) and everything passes through our hands! We do not use semi-processed products, we are originally from southern Italy (Puglia) where there has always been a strong culture and tradition for the food of the earth!

Best pizza we had in Italy! - Edit
Super tasty pizza fresh from the oven! I had a vegetarian pizza without cheese. There were also some basic menu without cheese (like olive oil + oregano or something). The guy said he can make any combination vegan; any available veg/mushroom toppings without cheese. The crust was thin crispy but very fluffy and soft on the edges. Best pizza ever! Even better than the ones that we tried in Rome with high tripadvisor rank. The place is more like a snack-bar atmosphere so it might not be a place for a fancy dinner but definitely worth a visit when you are in Tirano!
Read morePros: Super tasty! , Vegan friendly staff, Cheap price (6-8 Euros)
Cons: Not for the fancy dinner out
