Very good Amazonian food - Edit
The ensalada chonta was delicious and I got the tacu tacu with no la abuela (I got it on a side plate for my partner to eat). They also had a vegan burger, salads and a vegan wrap from the other restaurant attached to La Patarashca Hotel.

Good salads - Edit
It’s hard to find restaurants in Tarapoto (closed certain days or close at weird times), so I wasn’t able to try any of the veg places (there less than 1 day before going to an Ayahuasca center)
Read moreThis was a good option with great atmosphere. Ate down near the pool and it felt so different than the busy streets of Tarapoto - the vibe was like being away at a tropical resort for a brief time while dining - would come here again just for the atmosphere.
Vegan options were about 4 different salads, 3 little plates like fried plantains, and juices or alcoholic beverages. I got a grape juice, delicious salad with avocado, and some plantains that were delicious (so nice after a long plant dieta with very bland food). And I was brought some plantain chips while waiting.
Pros: Great atmosphere , Great salads, Good prices
Cons: Not a ton of options, but some good salads
