Pros: Los pimientos rellenos de verduras están buenos, la tarta de queso muy buena.
Cons: Las setas no tenían mucho sabor, el primer plato estaba casi frío.

Tienen opción vegana en el menú, leche vegetal, y dos pintxos, una hamburguesa txiki y un sándwich con un tamaño más que aceptable. He comido el sándwich, y está realmente bueno. Y no se escapa de precio para estar en el centro de Bilbao. Volveré a probar el menú. No pongo 5 estrellas porque la variedad es pequeña, pero el sándwich estaba muy bueno

Vegan menu and pintxos - Edit
La Parada has two places: the bar and the restaurant. Honestly, the bar has the worst vegan tortilla de patatas I have ever tried and some other very not special vegan pintxos. Not worth it! The restaurant, on the other hand, offers vegan food. It depends on the day’s proposal but it’s quite nice! I specially like the heura empanada they have with salad and the cheesecake is not bad. A good option if you’re in the city center and have no idea where to eat.

This restaurant can be accessed from the train station or from the street. They have a vegan menú del día everyday. During the week it is 14,50€ and on weekends it is 18,50€. You get an appetizer, a main dish, dessert, water and bread. The dining room is upstairs. Good food!

No respect for non-smokers' rights - Edit
Once upon a time, I was quite fond of this place, which I accidentally found due to work. Not only did I add them to HappyCow almost three years ago, I also gave them a decal which they proudly display to this day. Problem is, for all the quality their food may have, service is lacking... to say the least.

Consequently, restrictions were placed on smokers until last month, meaning they needed to keep a distance of at least two metres from fellow earthlings. La Parada de Bilbao, just like many other places in the industry, flatly ignored said restrictions; in fact, in semi-closed terraces such as theirs smoking shouldn't have been legally allowed since way before the pandemic.. and yet this is precisely what happens on a daily basis. Staff were asked to hand the complaint book, but refused. In addition, they gave me an awful attitude which will most likely see me boycotting them for the rest of my life. Enough is enough!

Few options since we didn’t know that we have to order vegan menu beforehand. I wish we knew that.

Considering that Bilbao doesn’t have much options then this was fine and we were full.

Excellent vegan option for lunch (starter, main course and dessert). Menu includes bottle of water for 13.85 euros. Portion size just right. Staff friendly and helpful, able to translate extra items into english for me although English menu available. Definately will go there again when we return to Bilbao

Es un bar/restaurante. Tiene un bar en la planta baja, donde tienen pintxos etiquetados como veganos y café con leche de almendras, y un restaurante en la parte de arriba, donde cada día tienen un menú vegano (a parte del menú convencional) con un primero, segundo y postres por 13,75€.

This cafe is located at the railway station, not far from the Old city. I tried various vegan pintxos and they were really good 😉 The staff is friendly. Good place to pick-up some food on your way.
