My partner and I ended up visiting Charroux out of pure luck this summer, and we just could not believe our eyes when we saw the menu outside of La Palette Vintage. I definitely have a sweet tooth, and being vegan, it is not always very easy to find a nice dessert... We had each a slice of cake, chocolate for me and apple for my partner - and both were delicious!! We also had the madeleines to go, also really tasty! A very nice address to keep in mind :)

We waited an hour to get our order. An hour for salads, fries and beyond meat sausages that’s unforgivable.
Read moreWe did give them a second chance for desserts, they came quickly and were amazing.
It is great to find Vegan food there, even in such a remote place, but the service is ruining the experience.

We went there today with high expectations because of the good reviews. The food was not much and we are still hungry after a main course and a dessert. The waiter looked a bit cranky. It was busy and It looked like if the waiter was on his own. So we waited quite a while. It is also quite expensive for what you get.

Incroyable. On a trouvé ce petit salon de thé grâce à Happy Cow en cherchant une adresse pour manger en revenant de Nevers. Nous sommes de Clermont Fd et nous reviendrons sans hésiter ! La majorité du menu est végane, toutes les pâtisseries le sont. Notre repas était délicieux. Le thé glacé maison, divin. Concernant les normes Covid-19, on peut manger en terrasse avec une distance d eplus d'un mètre entre les tables, le serveur portait un masque et les masques sont obligatoires pour circuler. PARFAIT.

A gem in central France - Edit
A great little restaurant in a beautiful village. Lunch was delicious with a fantastic choice of desserts and the service very friendly. Looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy al fresco dining in the pretty little courtyard.

A little treasure in France - Edit
Vegan food in France is very rare, especially vegan pastries! This place is like a secret vegan place. I have the idea that most of the people that come here don’t even know that they are eating vegan. It is truly a treasure in a very cute little village.

A lovely little tearoom with an amazing selection of cakes and pies. The host is lovely (and vegan) and there’s beautiful artwork on the walls. I definitely recommend it!
