CLOSED: La Pachamama Natural Foods

It doesn't exist anymore. We have tried to reach them via Facebook, no answer! Apparently this place is shut down.

Food was excellent! We visited Chile in January 2013 and were concerned we wouldn't find vegetarian food. We were really happy to find La Pachamama. We walked in to be greeted by the owners, a delightful couple with a cute story of how they met. We ate a thai curry dish and a mexican dish and took home some of the homemade chickpea flower naan. The food was fantastic. All of the food is made fresh, even the chickpea flour ground fresh by the chef. It was really a highlight of our stay in Puerta Varas. The owners are also very knowledgable about vegetarian options in Chile. We saw several locals drop in to pick up some food, which was a good sign. Loved it. Highly recommend it!

Finding this cute place was a huge relief, as there is very little in the way of vegan fare in this town. The couple that run this place are wonderful and make delicious breads and other baked goods. That's their main specialty along with a few daily items that change every day (I had vegan lasagna on one occasion and a vegetable stir fry on another, both quite good). If you go there make sure to try their bread!

This is a vegan life saver amidst the lake district's meat overconsumption. The owners are super nice and accommodating. They made me two raw salads and a smoothie (I'm a raw foodist) and whipped out some amazing homemade hot sauce on the side. The place also sells lovely essential oils and handmade soaps and creams. I highly recommend going there and eating at such a charming place.
