Delicious vegan specials - Edit
I went here for the local Vegan Chef Challenge. My "Vegan curry tofu radiance" special was amazing, with a delicious, deep curry flavor. The portion was gigantic, even if it had been half as large, I'd still have taken home leftovers. I sure hope this makes to the the everyday menu!
Read moreRegarding the regular menu, the descriptions in the "Vegetarian" section of the menu are quite brief, like "Family Style Tofu". No idea what that is. It's also easy to miss that there's a few other veg things not in that section, like Vegan Pho. Very few things explicitly labeled vegan on the menu, if they didn't have the VCC specials, I would probably not have tried this place. Now that I did, I'll be back.
When ordering like their regular "Vegetarian" section, like Thai cuisine, probably good to specify no fish sauce or oyster sauce (and hope for the best).

One of the only spots in town with really good vegan pho, also they have a delicious tofu and mushroom chow fun for this year's Vegan Chef Challenge! Wish that they had more vegan options, but what they do have is lovely.

A couple degrees away from being great as takeout, but dine in was fantastic! Deep fired tofu was delightful and the vegan pho is always satisfying.

Amazing Vegan Chef Challenge Find - Edit
My husband and I tried both of the 2026 Vegan Chef Challenge dishes and they were amazing. The owner came out to describe the dishes, explain that Vegan food works well in her culture and religion. She seems very knowledgeable about our needs and it was a delight to meet her.

The reviews made this place look good but we were unimpressed. First off, the peanut sauce has oyster sauce, and even though we ordered tofu spring rolls without it and asked for sweet and sour sauce instead, they still brought the peanut sauce and were confused when we asked them to take it back. The spring rolls were incredibly boring, just some tofu and lettuce (no herbs or anything flavorful). We got the sweet and sour tofu and the curry tofu. Both dishes were pretty much the same thing with different sauce, so if you want veggies besides bell peppers and onions, try the mixed veggie maybe. We learned that everything on the “vegetarian section” has oyster sauce unless you specify vegan. I tried to explain that oyster sauce isn’t even vegetarian but it fell on deaf ears. None of the food was very good, but it wasn’t terrible either. We probably won’t be back.

Good tofu options - Edit
I tried tofu spring rolls, sweet & sour tofu, and salt & pepper tofu. My partner and I both liked the rolls, I liked the sweet & sour better, and he liked the salt & pepper better. We also enjoyed passionfruit juice boba drinks (and were told the boba is sweetened with sugar). Also, it has very cute decor!

La Mint is the best Vietnamese place in South Reno, always open and serving great food to the community they care about! The interior is gorgeous and everything you want for your social media pics, and they keep flowers outside too. The servers are all very friendly, the food is delicious with good portions and price, menu is easy to identify vegan options and vegetarian options are easily made vegan. The wait is never unreasonable even with a packed house, pickup and delivery orders always reliable

Tried the vegan pho & the sweet & sour tofu and have to say it was one of the BEST vegan Asian style meals I’ve EVER had. My aunt who is not vegan/veg tried & said it was incredible & will be ordering the sweet & sour tofu from here on out. Delivery on GrubHub was only 50 cents. I highly recommend!
