If you must - Edit

I've been here twice. The first time I specifically mentioned I was vegan and asked for no meat. I also really like spicy food so I got an 8 on their spice scale. Everything was perfect, definitely spicy but the extra spice comes with a lot of sodium and with my heart condition I was feeling really horrible for about 24 hours. Nothing wrong with the food just my body not used to so much sodium anymore, got to me.

The second time I ordered to go. I ordered the Shio ramen with wheat noodles but for got to specifically say I was vegan and wanted no meat and it came with meat. Again, not their fault, just make sure to specify. I have the ramen to a co-worker and was left with my craving.

They are good in a pinch for vegans, but there are many other restaurants with vegan ramen that can appease your craving.

Pros: Good flavor, Fair price

Cons: Parking, Seating, No specific vegan menu

Good veg ramen and tsukenomo - Edit

Got the veg ramen with kale noodles. They aren't kidding with the spice levels! You can choose level of spice from 1 to 10. I chose 5 and it was quite spicy. Always happy to have a veg ramen spot nearby!

Pros: Veg broth, Veg noodles

Ok, if you need a ramen fix - Edit

Support your local small business, come get a ramen fix here if you're in the area. Yes you can ask for the veggie version of dishes but I'm suspect of how veggie the soups are as it's a tiny place with one guy in the back and I found a slice of pork in my soup. I didn't taste any over powering animal stock but it was a bit too salty and oily (which also makes me question the stock as veggie bases aren't usually so oily) I didn't make a fuss and just gave the pork bit to my lunch date but better veggie ramens can be found elsewhere. There could be more veggies and perhaps tofu in it, this had very little as the usual topping is the pork and the veggies are the garnishes that go with it. My soup was pretty much ramen with sprinkles of the toppings and that's it. We left still hungry but it was nice to have a hot affordable ramen meal regardless. Not impressed but I have a soft spot for tiny local joints and hope they do better. Two and a half stars.

Pros: veggie ramen option, quick, inexpensive

Cons: not sure about true veggie soup, limited options, very minimal meal

Vegan ramen! - Edit

Calling all vegans!! The shio ramen is vegan!! Just say no egg or meat and get either wheat or spinach noodles. :)

Never thought I'd be able to eat ramen again after going vegan and calling ramen restaurant after ramen restaurant without any luck... Until I called La-Men and learned that their shio ramen is vegan! Yessss!!

Here's how it works here: (1) order your choice of ramen soup (2) choose choice of noodles (wheat, egg, spinach) (3) choose level of spiciness(goes up to 10) (4) slurp down your ramen!

This is now my go to ramen place! :)
