Tiene varias opciones veganas de pizzas artesanas elaboradas a la piedra, entre otras alternativas. También permiten hacer pizzas de dos sabores, así que tomamos una mitad de champiñones y aceitunas negras y otra de alcachofa y pesto. Los dos sabores con queso vegano. Y estaba absolutamente delicioso. Tienen cervezas artesanas también. Sitio acogedor y personal muy amable. Muy recomendable.

I was so glad to have an actual crispy crust on my vegetarian pizza ! It really is the best in town. It was too much bland cheese for me (no parmesan or asiago anywhere on the menu that I saw) - it was a lot! About half the artichoke leaves on the pizza couldn't be chewed and didn't seem super fresh.

They didn’t have the lasagnas when we came but we ended up getting a large pizza and the two vegan empanada flavours. Staff speaks English and we’re super knowledgeable and friendly. Vegan cheese is an extra 40 (and super good) and they also have soy chorizo. We also ordered the hot chocolate with plant milk.

While Pizza is never the most healthy thing you can eat, I’d say this a relatively healthy version of the standard pizza. All the crust is thin and the vegan cheese seems low oil. I feel well after eating a personal pizza, which usually is not the case.
Next time , I wouldn’t design my own pizza and instead I just choose one of their vegetarian pizzas with vegan cheese … because i don’t think I’m great at designing food.
My personal pizza cost about 200 pesos.
On average, I’ve sadly enjoyed the vegan options at nonvegan establishments more than the vegan establishments.
All in all, I loved it and I’ll be coming again.

The vegan pizza was outstanding!! I had been craving vegan pizza for a while, so I was very thankful to find this place. I brought a non-vegan friend who said that he couldn’t even tell the difference and he liked it so much that he wants to come back tomorrow. I would definitely give 5 stars if I could!!!

Tucked inside an artistically-decorated courtyard, they provide some very good vegan pizzas. I don't know what the cheese is made of but it tastes great and has a great consistency. I tried the Chabela and Luigi pizzas. Also had the hot chocolate which is delicious. Very nice staff, as well. Four stars, since it is not a veggie restaurant.

The pizza was delicious, mostly cause of the vegan cheese which is definitely the best i ever had. I am usually always disappointed with vegan pizza but this one was very tasty with fresh ingredients and a perfect crust. The vegan lasagnas were good too but nothing special.
Read moreI would have enjoyed a bit more toppings on the pizza and bigger portions as everything is VERY pricey ( 35$ just for adding the vegan cheese, and the cheapest/smallest pizza is 125$ ...). I would have loved to try one of their vegan desert but the check was already crazy...
Staff is very friendly and nice, but there is quite a long wait for the food to be served (which i don’t really mind as everything comes fresh, warm and delicious).

My partner and I loved this food. We are both vegan, and appreciated how clear the menu is indicating what is and can be made vegan. We got a large pizza to share, we did the create your own adding the vegan cheese, mushroom, black Olives, garlic, Sundried tomatoes. It was tasty as hell, soft but crunchy base. The cheese was superb, you'd barely think it was vegan. We also got vegan empanadas which came with a chimichuri ssauce, the pastry was crunchy. Lastly we got the vegan lasagna. This was a healthy lasagna and good portion size. It tasted fresh and we loved the white sauce. We are planning on going back

La Matatena is an amazing place for people with diverse diets. They cater for vegan and gf diets, offering lots of pizza, empanadas, lasagnas and dessert options. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the space is wonderful. Don’t hesitate to cost this place if your in Oaxaca
