Great place that accommodates vegans and makes you feel welcome - Edit
La Mainaz is a 1-Michelin star restaurant that serves traditional cuisine from the area. But don’t be fooled; they’ll happily accommodate vegans and cook creative meals that are not just the typical same dishes as everyone else is getting but with the meat, diary and eggs removed
We had custom meals created for us, and the host Charles is amazing at making you feel welcome.
There’s no fuzz about being vegan and you are not made to feel unwelcome or a nuisance, which is not always the case in establishments of this pedigree.
Local vegetables, fruits, grains and legumes are highly utilised, and they’ll make creams, reductions etc out of plant milks and other suited vegan alternatives to not distract from the experience.
Altogether this place is a great example of how even traditional and fine establishments will happily try to cook interesting vegan food if they’re presented with the challenge. I encourage people to try places like this out so outstanding chefs like this get to see and experiment more with plant based meals.
