It’s a small place with a lot of sweet and savory treats. Quite hectic on the Rastro market day, but the ladies behind the counter were managing the crowd very efficently. Sweets were very good and the tortilla the best I had in Madrid

Fui con un par de amigos a comer, pedimos tres tostas (tofu, "salmón" y "huevo") y una empanada de carne vegana y todo estuvo delicioso. Ahora bien, la tarta de queso de lotus y el brownie de pistacho y chocolate estaban impresionantes, así que, si vais, pedid un postre sí o sí. La gente que lo lleva es muy maja y el local es súper agradable. Lo recomiendo al 100 % para desayuno, brunch o comida.

We had toast with caramelised apples and with tofu. Both very tasteful and refined. The hummus with the tofu tasted a bit fishy, but I liked it. Very busy location to eat inside, it's super small.

The avocado toast was visually breathtaking, and all the components were quite delicious. Ironically the worst part was the avocado, which was slightly underripe. The pain au chocolat was very good as well, and pretty damn full of chocolate. It tasted noticeably coconutty.

Fuimos a desayunar y la comida estaba espectacular y la chica que nos atendió fue super amable. Es todo vegano y además los platos son abundantes y muy elaborados. Comimos una tosta de aguacate, una tosta de salmón y cheesecake de pistacho, y estaba todo buenísimo y acabamos llenos.

We came for breakfast and had a milanese sandwich (very good) and a marinated tofu one (beautiful, huge and tasty). We came back the next day and loved the filled croissants and cinnamon roll.

I stopped by while visiting El Rastro market, so it was busy, but thankful I found a seat. Empanadas could have had more filling, but the cheesecake and little cookie sandwich was absolutely fenomenal!! So glad I went here!!

Finally a vegan place in this area! - Edit
Sometimes you don’t want to go all the way to Lavapiés or Sol for something vegan and a nice coffee. I had an avocado toast and an iced latte, and on a weekday morning in late July, it wasn’t crowded at all. The cheesecake I took home was also quite delicious, especially the sauce. All in all, would go back, but probably wouldn’t venture in on a Sunday.

I thought we’d try this after reading the reviews. It’s quite a small cafe but it’s in a nice part of town where there’s a little Sunday street market. We had breakfast there and it was fabulous. We had the French toast and the tofu on toast. Having read that back that description just doesn’t do them justice. They were really well presented came out quick and they were both delicious. An explosion of flavours and so filling. As we were paying and getting ready to leave she came out with a tray of fresh cinnamon buns. Oh. My. God. The only problem we have with it is it is closed on Mondays so we can’t go there for breakfast tomorrow. We may have to stay an extra night or so to get some more of those great looking cakes.

Everything in this small bar/coffee shop looks great. We had some cake and it was very very good. I never had a plant based cake that tastes what I was used (and liked) before eating plant bases.

La verdad es que atravesaría de nuevo todo Madrid (e incluso toda España) para volver a ese lugar. La primera vez que fui, lo que me atrayó fue el olor a canela que salía de la tienda, resulta que tenían cinnamon rolls recién horneados. Los mejores que haya probado en mi vida y encima veganos. No pude resistirme a pedir más cosas y probé su cheesecake de lotus, una pasada. Lo recomiendo al 100% y he vuelto con mi mamá, le ha encantado. Incluyendo la atención espectacular😄

La Loca de Enfrente lleva abierta pocos meses y ha logrado hacerse hueco entre el corazón de todos los veganos de Madrid.
Read moreSe trata de una cafetería pequeñita y con mucho encanto situada muy cerca de El Rastro d ñe Madrid, por lo que recomiendo acudir a visitarla en días no festivos.
Tiene de todo: desayunos ricos, Brunch, unas tostadas de 100, la repostería es impresionante (especialmente las tartas, que no son tipo bizcocho con algo más, sino que son pura cremosidad) y se volaron para conseguir tener la mejor cafetera del mercado y el café más rico, apoyadas por baristas.
Siempre que voy pruebo algo nuevo y hasta ahora todo me ha gustado. Por favor, vayan!
