Delicious spaghetti carbonara - Edit

I chose La Lanterna according to reviews on tripadvisor and Happy cow also and it was the right choice. I ordered spaghetti carbonara, they were very tasty and al dente! Fried dumplings (gnocco fritto) with cream was super tasty and for the end the grilled vegetables was not that good, the grilled salad looks like a bit old and carrot has strange taste, but other meals were so delicious. Service was super nice and they speaking english very well. I recomend a lot! :-)
I paid for all 20 euros, btw: they served vegan parmesan here!!

Excellent pizzas - Edit

Terrific vegan pizzas. Try the ones with a city name, they take the capitals, eg Paris, London, and make a vegan pizza in their honour. One great pizza is the wondrous pizza full of vegan chesse topped with potatoes, it is just so good.
Lunch menu range, though much less, is still ok, with delightful food.
Staff friendly and speak English.
The downside was significant. On two days we were accosted at our table, by different African beggars, one selling belts and rubbish, the other pointing to her tummy and claiming to be pregnant.
All in full view of staff, who took absolutely no action.

Pros: vegan, pizza, amazing tiramisu

Cons: beggars in restaurant

Tasty food!! - Edit

We went at lunchtime - theonly downfall was that there was only 1 option on the lunchtime menu( however, it happened to be delicious!) I had a really lovely pasta dish in a creamy rice milk sauce with a side of nutritional yeast as a topping. There were 5 dessert options, we opted for tiramisu which was divine! It was a really large portion so would suggest sharing if you don't have too much of a sweet tooth. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely Italian Dishes! - Edit

It was so nice to see a menu of exciting vegan dishes! The primi section had lots of tasty pasta dishes for about €9 each (secondi closer to €15 with some mock meats, etc). The menu is only in Italian, but the staff can help with translation. We didn't see any pizza on the menu.

My partner had the gnocchi and I had tortelli, and both dishes were really enjoyable. The desserts were the highlights, both were spectacular! The tiramisu was insanely creamy, and the lemon tart was one of my all-time favourite desserts!

I would definitely recommend this place to people visiting Verona. It seems fancy, but it's really accommodating and not overpriced at all. My only complaint is that wine was only available by the bottle, not the glass.

Ottimo ristorante vegan - Edit

La Lanterna è uno dei ristoranti vegan che preferisco.
La posizione è ottima, in uno dei quartieri più affascinanti di Verona.
Il menu è vario, i piatti buonissimi e lo staff gentile.

Such a shame - Edit

So, I had relatively high expectations and the restaurant had been recommended, but the pizzas my boyfriend and I had were both very underwhelming. The flavour was lacking, and the alternative cheese on my boyfriends pizza had vomit like consistency (the carbonara pizza). I so badly wanted to like it, and I'm honestly not very fussy. Maybe other dishes on the menu are delightful, but the pizzas were severely lacking in terms of taste.

Pros: Plentiful vegan menu, The potatoes on the potato pizza were delightful

Cons: Flavourless sauce and base and odd consistency of

Best vegano pizza I have EVER had - Edit

Hands down. Best pizza ever. No English menu so difficult to navigate around, but I ended up picking at random as I knew it would all be good. Quite smart for a vegan pizzeria too!

Sad... - Edit

We were so happy to find a vegan restaurant nearby our hotel, we came a little to early(10 min) and were sent away because preparations on the tables were not finished yet, no worries, we returned at 7pm, asked for a table in the back, no, everything boooked and no service in the backroom today, so we got a place at the entrance, half an hour later everybody who asked was offered a table in the backroom, then the wrong dish came, again no worries... alltogether a little disappointing, we felt like tourists, that never come back, so no need to be friendly!
I liked the food, my girl was not so happy...

Pros: food

Cons: serrvice, service, service

In San Zeno: nice Verona neighborhood near Adige river. Very cozy restaurant. We ordered pizza with homemade cheese, italian agnolotti, mixed grill, zucchini gratin and white chocolate cake: everything was very good and tasty. Mixed grill is special.

Great food, amazing desserts - Edit

A nice place, pretty close to the Arena and the Adige river. I often eat there, even at lunch time, and the food is always very good. The desserts are simply amazing. As a vegetarian, not a Vegan, I still can't believe one can make such perfect Profiterole cakes... Do not miss the cheese cake.

Great last supper - Edit

Sorry for an Italy pun. We ate here on our last night in Italy. We were so glad we made it. We shared four dishes. The first was a cold cuts plate with 6 deep fried pillows of bread. OMG. I'm not a huge fake meat fan, but this was sublime. Then we had an onion pizza, very good. Ravioli lunghi (rectangles) were stuffed with a delicious tempeh mixture, and topped with little green beans. The other main dish was a mixed grill: 4 or 5 grilled "meats" including a sausage of some kind that was like a really good hot dog. They came with three nice sauces. Everything was awesome. Ironically, the only disappointment was the Sacher Torte for dessert; it was a bit dry and not that great. Staff was very nice, beers were quite reasonably priced.

Pros: Charming atmosphere

Classy, High Quality Well-priced Vegan Restaurant - Edit

High quality vegan restaurant. It's classy (so many vegan places are tacky), the staff were helpful, and the food was incredible. They did vegan takes on a number of traditional Italian dishes.

There's no English on the menu. The staff are happy to help with explaining the food, but had some difficulties with some things. But we were game to just make an educated guess and see what came out, and we definitely weren't disappointed!

Most dishes were 7 or 8 euro. We got an entree, two primi, two secondi, a dessert (panna cotta - yum!), water, and 2 beers (that was a LOT of food) and it cost us about 50 euro for the both of us. For a pretty high-end experience, we were very happy with that.

Highly recommend, and would definitely go again. (This time I'd try one of their pizzas!)

Pros: High Quality, Delicious Food, Well Priced

Cons: None

Amazing food - Edit

La Lanterna is absolutely a gem. We had 2 meals in Verona there, and they were both excellent. The food is exquisite and innovative, the people are friendly, and the service is wonderful. We cannot recommend it enough. A must for any vegan visiting Verona, maybe even as a day trip from Venice.
