Great place for lunch! - Edit
Went there for a lunch after exploring Vegueta and around. They have lunch time deal for 10eu and you get to choose a starter and the main from the weekly menu plus you get a bottle of water, some organic bread and a coffee (or a tea)! Food was very delicious and nicely presented, I had some stuffed tomatoes for the starter and seitan curry with rice and salad for my main. The curry was very nice, creamy, with broccoli and hazelnuts - which gave really good kick to the taste! Sadly didn't have any room left for the dessert, will have to return another time :)
Definitely recommended!

A nice find - Edit
While visiting Las Palmas, we came across this little gem. It was a nice refuge after suffering from the usual boring salads in restaurants with no vegetarian options.
The food was lovely and the staff nice and friendly.
Pros: Nice food, Friendly atmosphere

an oasis of cruelty-free dining - Edit
I was so glad to stumble across this vegan restaurant whilst visiting Las Palmas. I ate here on two occasions. The first time was to have a coffee and chocolate cake for EUR 4.50. The second time I dropped by for lunch. They have special lunch offer of starter, main course, water + tea or coffee for EUR 10 which I think is great value for Gran Canaria. The inside of the restaurant is cozy and unpretentious. There are tables and chairs outside if you want to do some people watching. Location is good - close to the cathedral and museums in the Vagueta district. Free WiFi.
Pros: location, good value for money, vegan cake
Cons: closed Mondays and Tuesdays

Flavourless, uninspired - Edit
Listed by this app as the only vegan/vegetarian restaurant to be found on this island, I had to eat here if I wanted to have a proper vegetarian meal. So there I went, hungy and well. The place is right at the end of a popular restaurant street in Vegueta. It looks okay, although the painted concrete floors make for lousy acoustics. The staff is friendly, but clearly had left in a rush after the afternoon shift, because now in the evening they had to clear up all cutlery washed, which made a lot of noise. The menu has enough options to make choosing a challenge. So far so good. But then the food comes to the table, and turns out to be a deception. It's bland and immediately makes you think this is not about eating no meat, but about eating organic. And even with organic ingredients, one can make a great meal. But that was a bridge too far for this chef. No taste, no refinement, I found nothing in this meal other than something to fill my stomach with. I cannot recommend anyone to go here. Thank god, Las Palmas has restaurants that serve meat, but also have alternatives in their menus. I think you're better off finding those.
Pros: Nicely decorated, Centrally located
Cons: Dishes have no flavour, Very bad acoustics echo every sound

real treasure - Edit
I am just back from dinner there, with a meat-eating friend - had falafel with salad and moussaka, and chock cake. Everything was very delicious, nutritious and fresh, even for an omnivorous, as my companion is. Meals are large enough, but you don't feel heavy after having 2-cousre meals + desert. All my compliments go especially to a girl that helped us with the menu - cheerful, helpful and smiling - people like that do make difference.
Pros: excellent food, middle of the old town, very dear staff
Cons: cakes could be larger!, spanish working hours

real vegetarian cuisine, beautiful and tasty - Edit
Their menu already speaks of very high quality food: two pages full of dishes and all centered around different vegetables, other plants, and mushrooms. Most items are even vegan and everything is marked as vegan or not.
They offer a classical Spanish two-course menu for 9€.
You can also get dessert à la carte.
All dishes seem to be sized so that you can design your you menu by just picking any two dishes à la carte. Thus I combined the soup of the day with the amazing beetroot dumplings which I also photographed (see on the side).
This is easily the best restaurant I went to in Las Palmas. (And I tried 4 out of 5 listed on Happy Cow at the time.)
Pros: two-course menu of the day with choices, beautifully decorated dishes +very tasty, lots of vegan dishes are marked

Seasonal, varied, nutritious - Edit
Welcoming and friendly staff introduced us to the tasty choices in the two course menu of the day - only 10 euros including a wine, beer, or soft drink. The flavours were terrific and we look forward to visiting again. It's still relatively new and needs support. It's easy to find, at the end of three Calle Mendizabal (opposite end from the market). It's well worth walking through the street of eating places to this one, to be sure of great vegan or vegetarian food.
Pros: Good value, Fresh and nutritious, Friendly staff
Cons: Not well known enough!
