Local food experience - Edit
Cozy bar in a secluded place. The menu of the day is prepared for you with mainly locally grown products by the owner. Nowadays upon request they also serve meat and fish on a modest scale, because otherwise it is no longer profitable (that's why it gets 4 stars). We had a delicious vegan meal.

Precioso restaurante emplazado en un antiguo bar. Comida deliciosa y casera, la gran mayoría de ingredientes usados son de la huerta de Claire, su dueña, que es un encanto. Puedes avisar con antelación si quieres un menú 100% vegano.

Les aconsejo visitar el mirador del otro lado del pueblo, es una maravilla.

Delicious fresh vegan food - Edit
The only cafe in the beautiful small town El Tablado (from May till September only open on Saturday and Sunday), reservation is recommended. It is ran by a Dutch woman who cooks with fresh vegetables from her own land. She creates delicious vegetarian and vegan food (also as a vegan you can eat a complete menu!). We had a lemon-pumpkin soup, an excellent lentil quiche with a salad and a desert plate with a pumpkin/ginger pie and various date balls.

nice little place, difficult to reach - Edit
After a very steep road downhill, you get to this Dutch owned restaurant. It is small, but cosy. While it got quite chilly in the evening, when we got there, they had some blankets for us, so friendly staff.
Read moreThe menu was a bit unclear (still not sure if they had one, aside from the daily menu), but the lady in the restaurant was able to whip up a curry to our liking. Meanwhile, a few locals (out of 23, we learned) dropped in for a drink.
Definitely worth a visit if you intend to enjoy the views of El Tablado.

Great local bar - Edit
This place was a real pleasant surprise for us. Hidden in the small village of El Toblado, this 100 years old bar is located just next to the amazing GR130 route which goes all around the island. We had a great time at La Garza. The woman who owns it, who is superfriendly, offered us a vegan set menu inclusive of starter, main and desserts. The food was very nicely cooked, the ingredients coming mostly from her garden :). The bar has few tables so better make a reservation in advance and specify that you are vegan if thats the case. PET FRIENDLY!
