What a gem!

I popped in at 12 noon when they opened, and asked about vegan options. 2 veg dishes and pomme frite on the standard tapas menu. They offered to make me a ‘vegan plate’ so I booked to return at 1pm. I had a dish of tasty mixed of vegetables on a bed of sweet potato mash Lovely service. Good value. Highly recommended. Booking advisable as it’s only a very small restaurant.

Compact menu with 9 tapas dishes, 5 of them are vegetarian tonight, there doesn’t seem to be vegan options. I ate roasted aubergine with chopped almonds, felafel, curried yoghurt & naan, grilled halloumi with chopped tomatoes & pickled veg, a cheese plate with 3 types of local cheese & pain traditional and finished with fresh fruit, vanilla mascarpone & and nutty granola. All were absolutely delicious. We also had a local Merlot which was very pleasant. My non vegi family had some chicken & beef dishes which were also very tasty.
We booked two days ahead as the capacity is quite small and the restaurant is popular. Needless to say, the staff were all enthusiastic and helpful. Being a vegetarian while visiting France is challenging but this restaurant is a shining beacon of vegetarian cuisine.
