Lovely little place - Edit
There were two vegan options on the menu-one starter one main. We had the main and it was lovely. The owner was very passionate and explained all the different elements of the dish to us.
Read moreThis place is not veggie tho-there is meat on the menu so be careful. They also didn’t accept card payments when we were there.
A lovely spot for lunch though-under the shady trees, it’s got a lovely ambience.

Exciting vegan food in a non-vegan restaurant - Edit
Outside the large cities, finding decent vegan food is never easy in France so we were surprised to see La Fougassine actually listing vegan dishes on their signboard. When you walk into this place you never could imagine what is waiting. Olivier the owner, will not just produce a good vegan meal but he will feed you endless little spoons with all kinds of unusual spices, fruits and drinks from across the world, all vegan!! It is absolutely worth going for this carousel of tastes and scents.
Read moreSome notes: while the owner is clearly happy to promote vegan food, there are also meat and fish dishes on the menu. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food and services.
Pros: Endless vegan tasting spoons, Lovely service, Good and varied vegan dishes
Cons: There are also meat and fish dishes on the menu, Some desserts contain dairy

Local, original and delicious (with GF options, too) - Edit
It was a good surprise to discover this small restaurant. Lunch was served under the trees in the quiet square nearby. We originally intended to order only one dish but looking at our neighbours'table, we ended up ordering a starter (delicious caponata), main dish ("assiette vegan") and dessert and we loved everything ! A special thanks for the dessert which the owner improvised as I needed it to be gluten-free and which was both beautiful and full of flavour.
Read moreVery good value. Local products mainly with a few other products to discover new flavours. We were given very interesting explanations about our food, and full of poetry !
