Insomma..

Pros: Personale gentile

Cons: Informazioni non sempre chiare

Very accommodating and would recommend

The food here was very nice, especially as there aren't too many options in siracusa! They have a vegetarian menu and all soups are vegetarian. The owners were very helpful and told us would could/what was vegan. We had a fava bean soup which was delicious, pomodoro pasta, bruschetta and a "mixed vegie plater" but it had a lot more than just veg on. However the sause wasnt vegan unfortunately (if vegetarian maybe check there is no fish in it).

Just like visiting your Italian grandma

We were so happy to find La Foglia! We were in Siracusa in the beginning of the week, during off season and many restaurants were closed. This place was a great experience!
With the cold weather we were craving some warm soup and here there was a whole list of vegan soups on offer. For a change it was hard to choose, here in Siracusa. The owners are a super friendly elderly couple which makes it like you stepped into the home of your Italian grandparents: very welcoming and good freshly prepared food. Everything also has a specific style from decor to table setting and even menus.

The appetizers were a nice Bruchetta (nicely mentions on the menu as a way to rescue yesterday's bread) and caponata. As a main dish we enjoyed a very filling fava bean soup and a fresh pasta. It was not too flavourful but you got a plate of seasonings that you could use according to your own taste which worked out perfectly.

Pros: Extensive opening hours, Super friendly, Many vegan options & knowledgeable about veganism
