Serves meat, vegan options available. Tex-Mexican food restaurant. Does not use lard and offers tofu as a protein choice in a salad, a fajita, and a house entree. Has brown rice, whole wheat flour tortilla, and oganic alfalfa sprouts. Prices cheap to moderate. Call for hours - tell us.

Vegan friendly establishment - Edit

The waitor was very knowledgeable about the vegan options. Anything can be made vegan with protein options of tofu (marinated in tomatillo sauce), beans, or guacamole (must specify vegan so they make without mayonnaise). The menu specifies what's vegan/vegetarian and what's not (there is one of their four sauces that is not vegan). They cook in oil instead of butter or grease. The salsa and chips were plentiful. We loved the salsa. The enchiladas, puffy tacos, rice, and beans were all delicious. It was a really good experience. We'll come back next time we are in the area.

Knowledgable Staff and Yummy Food - Edit

Just finished eating here and the food and service were really great. All I had to say was that I was vegan and they informed me of the modifications they could make to the different dishes in order to fit my diet. I had the veggie combo and it came with a chalupa and 2 enchiladas, and it was all great. I felt very comfortable and confident that the food I ate was completely vegan.

Pros: yummy, knowledgable staff, reasonably priced

Cons: guac has mayo

Healthier Tex-Mex! - Edit

I have eaten here twice and have found plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians. Choose tofu or beans in tacos, enchiladas, fajitas or salads to make them vegan. They know what vegan means and I have not had a problem here but I still say no cheese or sour cream just to make sure. They don't use lard and they do use brown rice. Their guacamole has mayonnaise in it but you can request it without. Good sized portions for a reasonable price. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service. I will definitely be back on a regular basis.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Friendly staff

Cons: Can be noisy when busy
