Serves meat, vegan options available. Mexican restaurant serving plenty of clearly labeled vegan dishes. Has an inexpensive lunch buffet offering 3 vegan dishes. Sometimes it looks like the restaurant is closed if you look through the windows in the ground floor, but there is another door around the corner and you have to enter there and go to the first floor. Reported closed July 2022.

Fast alle Gerichte können vegan zubereitet werden! Sehr lecker! - Edit
Sie haben eine vegane Fleischalternative, eine vegane Käsealternative und veganen Rahm, um daraus leckere Gerichte zu zaubern.

Everything is possible! - Edit
You can get almost any dish on the menu in a vegan version! It is amazing, such a big range of vegan food and you can have all the mexican classics. Staff is also very nice. And they also have a delivery service😉

I was hoping, but sadly my apprehensions were veryfied. - Edit
Oh, well, oh, well, I give it 2 stars. It would have been nice to have an actual vegan mexican cuisine option in the middle of Linz. Because I like mexican cuisine. But IMHO this is not a "real" option for vegans. Sure, if one is in a crowd of people and all the friends want to go there, then a vegan can also get something to eat, so to say as an emergency option.
Read moreHowever, the problem I have with this place, primarily, is that they obviously don't really care about vegan options. This becomes obvious once you eat there. And since vegan food at an otherwise non-vegan place is a big matter of trust, I must sadly say that their lack of care about vegan options does not make me trust them. My experiences fit right in with some of the other critical reviews below. I will not come back.
Yes, sure, the menu says in one spot somewhere in the middle of all the pages that most dishes can be made vegan. That's it. No other mention of that topic. This seems to me more like a pro forma marketing decision rather than an actual commitment.
What also confirms that assessment for me, is that when I came there, they had an all-you-can-eat buffet. When I asked the waitress whether there were any vegan options on the buffet, she seemed to be unprepared for the question. She later confirmed that for vegan main dishes I have to order from the menu. Besides the lack of consideration for vegan customers in itself, that was also considerably more expensive (nothing under 13 €) than the buffet, and the size of the a-la-carte dish was not very big.
On top of all that, an additional experience, not related to vegan food in itself: I tried to make a reservation per e-mail a day in advance, as suggested on their website. I did not get any response in a reasonalbe timeframe. When I called the next morning to see what's going on, I got a strange answer that did not make much sense but at least was told that all was ok and I could come. They then had more than enough free tables. So, no problem. Funny enough, 39 minutes after the time for which I had originally reserved I got the confirmation of the reservation per e-mail. Like I said, this has nothing to do with vegan food per se, but just shows that they don't care about their customers in general. How much less about vegan customers.
On the pro side, the small dish of food that I did get, tasted good.

Tasty vegan dishes - Edit
Many dishes can be made vegan but not all (e.g. Chili Poppers unfortunately not). The vegan options are with fake meat or grilled veggies. We ordered some dishes with fake meat. I didn't ask, but I'm pretty sure the fake meat was seitan. The Chimichanga was a bit difficult to eat since the bottom was kind of tough and the knife was blunt. But the filling was really tasty. Every dish comes along with lots of fresh veggies.

Great variety of different mexican dishes most of which can be made vegan. The cocktails were tasty and not too pricey. Service was good as well.

Great vegan options - Edit
We had four different menus, all with vegan options (from fake chicken meat to vegan sour cream). Everything was just great and I can definately recommend La Fiesta!

don't trust them - Edit
I've been there a couple of times, once there was meat in the vegan menu, the other time there was cheese in the vegan menu. The waiter didn't take my complaint seriously both times, I had to go to the kitchen with my plate personally to talk to the inexperienced kitchen assistants/cooks because the waiter said "if you ordered vegan you got it". They use convenience food (not only but quiet a lot). I also talked to the owner without making anything public at first, but the next time I went there was the cheese-incident so this is a place I strictly avoid (my non-vegan-friends are also not convinced by the quality).
