Le concept est génial : tout le monde choisit ce qu'il souhaite parmis les buffets froid, chaud et dessert. Il y a énormément de choix et c'est super qualitatif !

The place is a buffet and you can select from a number of dishes. There is the cold, salad, section; the hot meal of the day; and the dessert section.

The only drawback I'd say for this place is that the hot meal doesn't vary between lunch and dinner.

Many vegan options available, but take good care to read and use common sense as to what contains egg or diary (fully vegetarian). Feels relaxed, it’s cheap, and the food is good. Lovely place to sit outside.

Il serait bien d’avoir droit à un échantillon avant de décider le nombre de choix dont nous désirons acheter. J’ai été très déçue par le plat du jour alors que c’est ça qui m’a fait entrer dans le restaurant. Heureusement les tartes font remonter les points. Excellentes!!

This vegetarian buffet place has a great variety of dishes and things were clearly labelled so I felt there was enough of vegan options for me to eat, including a vegan mushroom tart which was delicious, and a daal which was filing and tasty enough. Enjoyed the salad options - all fresh and a nice variety. There was a fruits salad and vegan crumble on offer for dessert, as well as other vegetarian options. Would recommend to vegetarians for sure, and definitely an option for vegans if you aren’t too fussy - the value for felt great! Will return if I am in Toulouse again.

Fantastic casual buffet style place where you can eat all you like for 18 euro, or less (and pay less). Unusual find in France and nice to have such variety and be able to eat healthily and cheaply!

We had a friendly waiter who explained the system and dishes were labeled clearly. I definitely overate and still went back for dessert. Crème brûlée was great, brownie a little dry.

There are a lot of vegan options at the salad Bar, the soup, the main plate and some delicious options at the dessert section. The staff was really friendly while the price was good. Would go there again!

Although I would have liked to have more vegan choices, there was still plenty to eat for me at this buffet restaurant. The food was tasty and filling, and staff were friendly, even if a bit hectic. I appreciated that, contrary to many other buffet places, the food was not overcooked or too greasy.

Une fresque a l'entrée montre des poules et porcs à table qui sont choqués par un mec mangeant des œufs et du bacon. On se dit "super" enfin un endroit qui a tout compris... que nenni. Très peu de choix végétalien, de l'œuf ou de la crème dans tous les plats chauds (ce dont je n'ai pas été prévenu et donc j'ai payé pour le buffet complet sans pouvoir manger de plat chaud) bref... une grosse, non une énorme déception. Sans compter les pannes de courant toutes les 5 minutes avec le serveur qui vient ouvrir le tableau électrique derrière notre table à chaque fois sans dire pardon quand il pousse notre table pour passer... à fuir

Lots of options on the buffet and a reasonable price for everything you get to eat. The place is fully vegetarian, but not vegan. Be careful (especially with the desserts), although ingredients are often written down. Restaurant was quite busy so the service was not great, they forgot to serve me my tea.

The restaurant is quite small and was very crowded when we came there (just the same for the second visit). With the tables being placed quite close to each other it was difficult to get off your seat and to the buffet without harassing other guests.
Read moreBut we liked the idea - they offer 4 different buffet sections (salads, tartes, Dish of the day, dessert) leaving it open to you which sections you would like to try. Your choice of food is then restricted to your chosen sections whilst within this sections you can eat as much as you want. (Prices vary according to number of buffets chosen from 11,90€ to 15-90€ in 08/19).
The Food was tasty - though salads were quite rich (many with cheese and mayonnaise) and tartes might have been more crispy. (Salads were the same on our second visit as well as half of the tartes). I liked very much the crème brûlée - though it was only crispy when freshly served.

I wasn’t keen on the self-service idea but in fact it worked really well. Staff came to our table regularly to check we had everything we needed and gave clear explanations of how the system worked. Dishes were clearly labelled so I didn’t end up inadvertently eating animal products. There was a very good choice - something I don’t often get as a vegan - and everything was utterly delicious. The only downsides were that the tables were very close together, so moving around wasn’t easy (they are obviously very popular and everybody wants to eat here), and the washing up was a bit hit-and-miss.

Too bad that the staff are not friendly.

La faim des haricots est un de mes restaurants préférés à Toulouse. Simple, accueillant, convivial. J'aime le principe du self service et des formules qui permettent de se servir à volonté. Les plats faits maison sont toujours très bon et le bar à salade propose un grand choix de combinaison!

I went here a couple of days ago. You can chose between a variety of buffets and then take as much as you want. There is one plat du jour and many salads and desserts tot choose from, all of which are really delicious. Prices are really reasonable, but try to come as soon as the restaurant opens because the place can get quite crowded (for obvious reasons). Ik would definitely visit this place again 😊
