Good but not amazing - Edit
I had the papas al horno, it was fine but either not actually cooked ‘al horno’ or for a very short period of time. It looked and tasted microwaved. No crispy skin! The guacamole was tasty and decent portion

A Wonderful Find! - Edit
Found ourselves in wonderful Mazunte and from this (HappyCow) site's recommendation, went to this La Empanadas. It was so great! They were very understanding of vegan, even making a vegan pizza for us.. The atmosphere is great, food wonderful.. I recommend it highly

Why the best? Because for me it has everything. Wholesome food, sourced as responsibly as possible, relaxed and friendly vibe and great service. When I walked in and said I was not only vegan but oil free it wasn't a problem. I was made to feel so welcome I became friends with the owner Rafa and his partner Emma and stayed there in a gorgeous room for my last week in Mazunte. If you are veggie the pizzas are very popular and cheescake is famous!
