I was hesitant to go here based off of the previous review, but I was craving a sweet treat so my husband and I went to see if they had anything vegan.
I first asked for vegano and the girl said no, then I said vegano again and sin leche and she went to speak to someone, came back and informed me the fruit options were good.
I asked 3 more times, vegano, sin leche and she said si si si sin leche.
I’m very much a best endeavours vegan when travelling, I’ll ask and do my best, but after 9 years of veganism my body lets me know if there’s been a misunderstanding, if you catch my drift.
Anyway, I got a scoop each of the 3 fruit flavours available, orange, guava, and pineapple. The guava and orange textures were similar to gelato in my home town so I went in on those, but the pineapple was so creamy that I was hesitant. It tasted caramel to me! My husband (omni) tried it a few times and said he could taste pineapple, coconut, and dates. On his approval of pineapple, I decided to go in based off her triple sin leche vegano confirmation, and the fact I was armed with buscopan and Imodium if there had been an error.
It’s now been 24hrs since I ate these fantastic gelatos, and my body hasn’t rejected them at all!! I’m going in for seconds tonight.
I could not belief it, when the staff told me that the melon ice cream is only made from melon, nothing else. Looking at my astonished face, she added, the melons here are very different from the melons in europe.
Didn't eat this.
