Especially the avocado toast is a must try, the pesto is great and the toast tastes very balanced and healthy too.

Not too bad - Edit
Nice breakfast, a little expensive for just a (small) sandwich but it was nice - good flavour combo, nice ingredience. Place was quite trendy, coffee shop vibe so all in all ok and as we were in madrid in the middle of summer a lot of places were shut and on hols so there wasnt a lot of other choice for breakfast!

Vegan gem - Edit
Many people don't know that this place is basically vegan except for the cows milk they have if requested (otherwise they use plant milk). The sweets are delicious (cookies, cinnamon rolls, breads...) and also the daily menu is a great investment: delicious and fair priced. It is also great for working as they have plenty of space downstairs as well as wifi and electric outlets. Totally recommended.

High prices come with high quality - Edit
La colectiva is such a fancy place and a great work space. There's no better place to get a coffee, a treat and get to work. It's also quite pricy with very small rations often getting past the 5€ mark.
Read moreBut it's the quality good enough to compensate for the heavy cost? I'd say it does. The bread is beyond excellent, their cakes are moist and rich without getting too sweet or decadent. Sandwiches are delicious, coffee is good... Wouldn't get the chai though as it's a watery mess. Also this place isn't vegan as they still serve cow's milk because they didn't want to alienate their long term customers. Understandable but it would be nice if they went vegan for real, they are so close by now!
Pros: Carrot cake, Excellent bread, Workspace
Cons: €€€, Chai , Not vegan

Delicious vegan lunch menu - Edit
They serve a fully vegan lunch menu that changes Monday through Friday, and it's just delicious. I found the portions very filling and the price adequate. Coffee is great, although a little bit expensive. Baked goods are also very tasty. There's a working space downstairs, but if you choose to eat there, you have to carry the food down yourself.

Siempre que he venido con amigos he disfrutado o de una merienda o de una sesión de trabajo estupendo; aunque algunos se quejan de que los camareros recomiendan de más

My second home - Edit
This cafe is 100% vegan and is a great workplace. They have good coffee, bunch of pastries to choose from, and a good selection of food. There’s a downstairs floor that’s really great to get work done either by yourself or with a group. I go here almost everyday after school and just love the space and it’s ambiance!

Wonderful - Edit
Everything is freshly made, like cakes, sandwiches, toasts, fairly priced for the area. Downstairs there is a working area, a lot of international people there, not so easy to find a place like this. Enjoy

Love going here to eat a nice pastry or healthy meal or cool coffee/tea. Have turmeric milk! Also I work here for hours and have never felt rushed to leave or like I’m taking up space. Highly recommend as a workplace.

Great brunch - Edit
We went here for Brunch on Sat. They had a menu of the day which included coffee/tea, fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade yogurt and granola with fresh fruit and a plate with mushroom tofu scramble, potatoes and green salad for 15 euro. My husband and I shared and it was delicious! It has 2 floors, upstairs was a lively cafe style of seating and downstairs is quite with people working on laptops. You order at the bar and go grab your food when ready. Highly recommend

Great place for quick bite or meal - Edit
We stopped by for something to drink and dessert in the afternoon. The atmosphere is very nice, with the upper floor a typical bar/cafe and the lower floor a great work/eat space (I saw people working on laptops while drinking coffee/eating a dessert). Free wi-fi to help facilitate this.

Fave place! - Edit
Me and my partner ate here everyday whilst in Madrid. The food is so tasty and fresh and the staff go above and beyond, they are so kind and helpful. English menu available too which is great. Only set back for vegans is that they serve cows milk however this shouldn’t really deter anyone as the place is fantastic!

Lemon Pie from Heaven - Edit
WOW.
Read moreLet me say first off, I’ve been vegan 10 years and the only two foods I haven’t found an equivalent (if not better) vegan alternative for are flaming hot Cheetos and lemon meringue pie.
Well, now I found my lemon meringue pie.
I stopped by the cafe several times over my visit to Madrid and will dream of the pie for years to come.
They also had a very good selection of sweet breads (chocolate, banana, walnut, etc.) making it a cozy spot to have a snack and wifi access.
There isn’t a large sign on the storefront just a sandwich board on the sidewalk so keep an eye-out. I walked past it thrice before finally realizing my mistake.
The same barista was there every time I visited so I suspect he might be the owner. He was very friendly and we chatted about veganism in Madrid for a bit in English as my Spanish is basic.
I was lucky to be staying in a hostel two blocks away but others located more centrally located might find this cafe out of the way.
All together, I highly recommend this cafe for a hot drink or something sweet.
Pros: High Quality Food, Good Service, Excellently Selection
Cons: Hard to find (no sign on building)
