Their food has gotten so much better! - Edit
They offer vegan cheese, vegan sour cream options and have vegan entrees. It's a Mexican restaurant so the vegan guacamole, sour cream and cheese still needs to taste good. Fortunately, recently, they changed these 3 things and it's actually quite tasty.

Clearly labeled vegan options - Edit
The chimichanga and flautas are good but I've had better before. I think they just need a bit more flavor. The flautas felt particularly bland. They have a nice outdoor seating area.

I was surprised to see a separate vegan menu at this little Mexican restaurant. It looks like a fast food place from the outside, but the food is like a typical cantina. I got the vegan burrito, which was very tasty and had a TON of fresh veggies in it. Maybe one of the best vegan burritos I've ever had.

Burrito was good. Needed salt though. They have a salsa bar and your food comes with free chips and beans to dip it in. Staff was very nice and inside was clean.

Clearly labeled vegan section! - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised to see that La Chimichanga Cantina had a clearly labeled vegan section of their menu with several options. We tried the chimichangas (deep fried burritos) and they were huge and so yummy!! I’d never had a chimichanga before and it was a fun experience. They had an extensive drink menu with alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. The staff was friendly and helpful. I hope to come back someday to try the rest of the menu!

Great Vegan Mexican - Edit
What drew me here was their extensive vegan friendly menu. They have an entire section dedicated to vegan dishes which includes vegan cheese, sour cream, and refried beans. It's usually hard to find Mexican restaurants that will go out of their way to make refried beans vegan, so I was so stoked to try this spot out.
Read moreMy friend and I tried their Vegan Nachos and the Potato Flautas. The nachos were decent enough and they loaded it up with a lot of guacamole and sour cream on top. The flautas were my favorite of the two - the deep fried potato rolls were perfect and combined with their pico and spicy sauce, it was delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of their guac but it was still great nonetheless.
For those that enjoy boozing, their cantina is well stocked with plenty of beer and hard liquor. I saw a share of tequila options available and their drinks seemed very reasonably priced.
Service here was very friendly and they were attentive to our needs especially helping to make sure that options were completely vegan. I'll have to come back someday to get their massive burrito that I see in photos. I mean, you gotta look at the size of that thing!

I love that this place has an entire vegan menu, and is on DoorDash! The vegan taco salad is my favorite, it’s so tasty!

So many vegan options! The vegan enchilada plate was delicious. The escabeche was fantastic — has potatoes in it! Would definitely go back next time we are in the area.

Great quick and easy option! - Edit
I got the vegan taco salad and was pleasantly surprised! The vegan sour cream is super thick and yummy and the cheese is good too! I would add tofu or some protein source next time but overall I enjoyed it. My husband isn’t vegan and had a chicken burrito and said it was good too, so there are options for everyone! And decent margs too.
