LOVED this place - Edit
VG menu is extensive. They offer free chips & guac which is a nice touch. We had the tofu burrito, tofu enchiladas and tofu tacos and wow all absolutely incredible, so much flavour !! Staff super friendly and some outside seating.

Excellent Mex!! Loved it!! - Edit
La Casita was excellent. The staff was friendly and very helpful, and the vegan options were clearly marked which made ordering easy. They brought out complimentary guacamole, salsa, and chips which was a nice touch.
Read moreWe ordered four dishes to eat there and four more to take with us for breakfast before an early tour. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The vegan tacos, enchiladas, and burritos were all very good, and the tofu soyrizo was especially impressive.
Highly recommend if you want great Mexican food with reliable vegan choices.

Tasty tacos. Highly recommended - Edit
Great tasting Mexican food with an entire vegan menu where all dishes can be prepared vegan using plant based cheese.
Read moreThe tofu taco was flavorful and mildly spicy and the tea leaf salad taco was an interesting fusion of local Thai flavors in a taco shell. Can choose between soft and crispy tacos.
Order came with a big serving of chips, guacamole and salsa.
Portion size was regular and there was no extra charge for substituting vegan cheese. Service was quick and friendly. Restaurant is pet friendly.
Pros: Value for money, Vegan cheese

Veggie options can be made vegan - Edit
Items not specifically labelled vegan, you can ask to remove any sour cream or cheese from any of the veggie dishes, most can be veganised.
Read moreWas served free tortilla chips and guac at the start but you may need to ask for guac without any sprinkles of cheese.
Ordered a big burrito which was enough for two meals, though I really wish they had vegan sour cream or cheese to make it taste better.

Ok - Edit
Not bad if you’re craving Mexican. Don’t expect authentic guacamole and flavors. Small portions.

Authentic Mexican in The Old City! - Edit
Authentic and delicious Mexican food with plenty of vegan options (be sure to remind..."no cheese, no sour cream"). Real Jose Cuervo Margaritas with a potent kick! Very nice, clean & bright place with fast, attentive service. Great food and drinks. Serves alcohol!

Food was fine - Edit
The menu states that they have vegan meat & veggies as fillings for burritos & tacos but the meals aren’t vegan themselves. We had to ask for cheese, sour cream etc to be removed and not sure they actually understood what veganism is. They put the order into an online system which made me a bit anxious as they’re not communicating directly to the kitchen about making the food vegan. As far as we could tell the food ended up being vegan. It was pretty good but they should really look at offering avocado or something as a substitute for taking out the cheese and sour cream etc. The pickles and sauces you get help to add more flavour and moisture.
Read moreYou get complimentary tortilla chips and guacamole but you need to ask for it without the cheese on top.
Food was overpriced. There’s probably better Mexican options for vegans in Chiang Mai #Veganuary
