Good Mexican

Not a lot of vegan options but the enchiladas is very nice. Mixed veg - broccoli, carrot, zucchini. Amazing dressing, beans and rice.
Guac is very good also.
Would be 4 stars if they had more vegan options.

Okay

It’s good for vegan options if you’re with a crowd and they want to go here. Then you can order something. But don’t expect to be impressed. I ordered the vegetable enchiladas. The rice and black beans were adequate and the enchiladas and sauce were uninspired. I ate it all and it was good but not memorable or worth it.

Might check out viva Mexico in Sebastopol or Tortilla real in Petaluma. They have some really good food.

Decent Vegan Options

This restaurant was recommended to us by several locals. The menu clearly states that they do not use lard in the beans, which was reassuring. The menu is marked with items that can be made vegan, but make sure to specify.

I got the vegan enchiladas, which were filled with sauteed vegetables and guacamole, topped with salsa verde, and served with rice and black beans. The veggies were a random assortment; mostly broccoli and squash with a couple of carrot chunks and green beans thrown in. The veggies were barely cooked and flavorless. The rice and beans were good. So overall, ok, but not amazing.

However, the worst part was my iced tea, of all things. It was truly horrible. The waitress was very nice and understanding about me asking for something else. Apparently they hear that a lot...

Pros: Nice Staff, Several vegan options

Cons: Veggies were barely cooked and bland, Terrible iced tea

Best Burrito.

I eat here at least once a week. Their guacamole is to die for. The staff is pretty friendly and will happily modify your food and make it dairy free if you let them know. You can modify most of their dishes and make it vegan. I love their vegetarian burrito, it comes with mixed vegetables, your choice of beans and Mexican rice.

Pros: Their chips are warm and fresh :)

fantastic avacado relleno

Try the avacado relleno with vegetables. Avacado, chili relleno on top smothered with veggies, black beans, and tasty sauce. Good wine selection. Good patio. 4 star is highest non vegetarian rating.

Our FAVORITE place in Sonoma

My husband and I joined the ranks of the whole food, plant based, no oil eaters in 2008 and haven't looked back since. We now live around the corner from this place and consider ourselves super lucky to do so. La Casa not only has a vegetarian section in their menu but understand that "no dairy" means no cheese, no sour cream. We go so often they know to bring an order of corn tortillas and hold the chips when we walk in the door. Love the food. And, great margaritas!

Pros: They speak vegan., Great service., Two shaded patio areas (one area is open for dogs)
