Surprisingly Delightful Vegan Experience in Royan - Edit
To be honest, our expectations were quite low. We are a couple of vegan cyclists who have learned that France remains the most challenging place in Europe for vegans. Add to that the fact that the place is neither vegan nor vegetarian and has a 70s American vibe, and you can understand why we didn’t expect much.
Read moreBig mistake. The two vegan main dishes, clearly labeled as such, were very original, excellently cooked, and had super generous portions for eternally hungry cyclists like us. A delicious dessert and a more than reasonable price made sure that Royan won’t be forgotten like so many other towns we pass through.

Had a really great time at La Brasserie Royannaise recently! Lots of vegan options that were easily recognisable on the menu, staff were friendly as well. Food was tasty and good value for money!
