Supreme location and a meal to indulge

I gotta hand it to whoever added this listing (the owners themselves?), because the restaurant provides a solid meal in an incomparable setting. That's right, there is also plenty of seating available, both indoors and outdoors, but I'm not sure if all of it is always available. Somewhat bummed out that the quesadillas wouldn't be that great without cheese, I went for the mango salad. VERY crispy rice and luxurious pine nuts made for a rather pleasant start. The nasi goreng wasn't vegan by default, but I found my version to be truly solid, tasty and delicious, despite the somewhat burnt red pepper. My meal was beautifully rounded by a nice avocado, cacao and coconut cake, inexplicably the most expensive of the desserts. I was first offered a carrot cake, one of the two items outside of the menu, but then our (barefoot) waiter realised it actually contained egg.. so yeah, make sure you double-check before ordering.
My company consisted of omnis, and they both enjoyed their respective meals just as much as I did mine. However, be aware that La Atalaia is more for a special occasion than for a regular meal. As my (local) friend had pointed out, it is run by "posh hippies", and so prices follow accordingly. I found it unnecessary to question why I would want tap water -as opposed to bottled one- and charging 3.50 euro for some bread that we might not even have ordered felt like a bit of a hoax. On the upside though, the location is awe-inspiring, with or without gigs (see you in the pit next time round), and their desire to offer something from various cuisines of the world is very appreciated.. especially given the fact that they know their onions.
