CLOSED: Kurzlebig

Couple of weeks ago I ordered the vegan breakfast. Everything was super fresh and nicely served. This day they ran empty on vegan spread, so I had garlicspread for breakfast, which tasted good, but in my opinion inappropriate for breakfast :( Last time I've been there they had a bunch of other options, like eggplant, tofu- tomato etc. Coffe with soymilk was superb! Waitress was very friendly, too. Unfortunately we had to wait quite long for the order to arrive.

I would probably try it again another time.

I can definitely recommend this café for a varied vegan breakfast in Bonn. Café Kurzlebig has two vegan breakfast options on their menu but you can also ask them to veganize some of the other breakfasts: You can choose between the “Veganer Teller” plate, which includes fruit salad, antipasti, couscous salad, 2 vegan spreads and various breads or the “Herzhaft-Vegan” plate (herzhaft = savory) with smoked tofu, fried mushrooms, baked beans and so on. Both are great in my opinion. I have yet to try the vegan cakes but I’ve been told they’re delicious. Staff is super friendly and helpful, no complaints here. The café is in a pretty central location and can be reached within 10 minutes by foot from Bonn Central Station. It’s also super cozy, I could easily spend hours in here.
