Love the vegan naan - Edit
Thankfully it seems like they're more reliably open now.
Read moreI love that they do vegan garlic naan which is so hard to get, and their masala kulcha is so tasty.
The tofu curry is tasty and creamy, but very salty. I ordered mild which has a quick spicy burn which then fades quickly, the peas bring a lovely freshness.
I wish they did a buttr chikn.
Pros: Masala kulcha

ENTIRE MENU VEGAN! - Edit
This place is UNREAL. Interior is humble, but the food is so delicious and really has that home-made feel. Cater to spice - if you can’t handle hot food their “mild” is genuinely mild and suitable for children. The prices are also so cheap and servings generous.
Read moreFamily run business with the most lovely staff.
The entire menu is vegan by default (but I think you can request vegetarian cheese if you wanted- I think they have this to not turn off non-vegans.)
Made my whole week discovering this gem!
Pros: All vegan menu (so many options!), Can make mild, DELICIOUS!!!

Let’s get a bit real here. The place is not vegan. If they cared about vegan they would be vegan.

quit shaming this inclusive Indian women run business. How do you know they don't care about vegans? The cow is scared in Indian religion. I'm sure they care greatly about animals. Most Indians who are vegetarian are not vegan. Its very inclusive of them to cater to vegans, when most of their clientele is Indian vegetarians. Your elitist, culturally insensitive and culturally hegemonic views are just making you look bad.
Read moreTiggy
You’re sounding a bit culturally patronising there.. if you disagree with me then why do you care so much what I think? You can ignore my comments but for some reason they seem to make you really defensive. Now you’re resorting to trying to make me look culturally insensitive as if this is some sort of competition. Did my comments hurt you?

because you go around on happy cow Melbourne with a hollier than though attitude and elitist view that makes the space not safe inclusive, or enjoyable. There are vegetarians, vegans and meat eaters that use this site too. Are they wrong/bad? Your attitude suggests they are.

I’m sorry but I’m not sure how my comments - which simply highlight where animal cruelty is occurring - create an unsafe environment. Do you think eating slaughtered animals or the products of animal abuse is OK? Because you seem to spend a lot of time defending the practice on a vegan website.

It's not "my principals" it's the definition of veganism, and it's in my profile since you appear unfamiliar with it, and yeah clearly I'm vegan cuz I agree with it. I don't actually give a damn what your excuse for not doing it is and if your path includes murdering my friends since I'm unable to incapacitate and wire your freaking mouth shut, I'll happily simply call you and anybody else who does it a baby animal abusing coward. Got that, hot shot?

Lovely place! - Edit
Driven past this place so many times, first time going in only because of the app. We had great meal, didn’t look like quite enough but was the perfect portion. Best gulab jamun we’ve ever had! Staff were very sweet and welcoming, great value. We’ll be back for sure.

My favourite Indian restaurant in Footscray! 90% of the vegetarian menu can be made vegan! I've never been disappointed the many times I've eaten there! Plus the staff are lovely!

Since there was a metal bolt from a pan in one of the curries, I just can't. - Edit
Food was good but how do you let a metal bolt from a pan make its way into food. Glad it was me and not a child. Careless.

Wonder Food! Don’t let the facade of this restaurant deceive you. - Edit
A classic old style Indian restaurant is the perfect environment to be so pleasantly surprised by a gastronomic splendour. What a delicious meal made even better by beautiful “homely” service.

My favourite for Indian - Edit
I have been here so many times, I was surprised to see I hadn't written a review. Too busy eating I guess. :)
Read moreLovely, family run restaurant with friendly service. Food is consistently good. Amazing variety of dishes, including curries which would normally be made with cream and so not suitable for vegans, normally.
Vegan desserts are also available.
Delivery on some of the delivery apps makes it super convenient too. But seating is also comfortable, with traditional 'indian restaurant' decor.

delicious and great value - Edit
Thank you so much to the lovely staff here, we really enjoyed our meal and the service was so friendly. The vegetable korma was our favourite. Very accomodating for vegans and all the curries are also gluten free. We were surprised how cheap the bill was and we couldn't finish eating everything it was so filling. Thank you we will definitely be back

Delicious food, service not so great - Edit
Food: sooo sooo tasty. My friend and I ordered the Vegetable Korma and Vegetable Madras and some Naan. The coconut rice we ordered was actually cooked with lemon juice, which was too lemony and not enough coconut, so we asked for the saffron rice instead.
Read moreService: Service is friendly but slow. It seems to be a family business, so the wait staff haven't been trained properly. My friend waited for me at the table for half an hour without being offered any drinks or some appetisers to start with, and it was easily 40 minutes before our food arrived. The tables next to us also seemed to be waiting a long time for their food. Turns out they were busy doing takeaways and deliveries at the same time. The cook herself was beautiful and made sure that we enjoyed our meal though. So one star off for service.
Decor: half the dining area was taken over with ikea shelves to extend the kitchen. Can't say it's much
Atmosphere: it was busy with plenty of customers so great for friends but not for one for first dates.
Pros: Good food, better to do delivery instead of dining, Just don't arrive starving.
Cons: Slowww service, decor needs an overhaul

This place has amazing food and, though Indian food lends itself to being vegetarian and vegan friendly, they are far from ordinary here.

Delicious! - Edit
I went with a group and we shared 6 different mains all of which were delicious. Everything is vegetarian and most items can be made vegan. They have vegan garlic naan which we devoured! Staff were lovely. I plan to return for more...

Everything can be veganised - Edit
I ordered a vegetarian thali which I asked for as the vegan version. The waitress said everything can be veganised as long as you ask. I received a naan, 2 curries (she explained what they were) and a vegan gulab jamun. I liked they they asked me how spicy I'd like the curries. The flavours were delicious. I will be back.

An extensive Indian menu - Edit
This is a family run restaurant. They are vegetarian and although they used to serve meat they decided that morally they could not continue to do so. They are extremely lovely and have managed to change their extensive menu vegan.

Simply Wonderful - Edit
Very good food cooked with love. We abstain from onion and garlic and the cook has been more than willing to cater for our special requirements. It's great to have a full vegan/vegetarian restaurant in the western suburbs. Will certainly be back for more.

Really delicious food and nice people - Edit
They have a large menu that is pure vegetarian with almost everything vegan. Lots of Indian dishes that you can't normally get vegan. The food was really rich and delicious (and really well priced). I will definitely go back. It's a family run business and they were all very friendly and kind. A really nice casual atmosphere too, clean and cosy! (They also have wine)

Best Indian Restaurant In The West! - Edit
It is aways awesome to read "Lots of Choices" in the same sentence as Vegetarians and Vegans on the front of a take away menu. This Indian Restaurant has a large selection of vegetarian curries and most can be made vegan. There is so much choice the only difficult part about here is deciding what to eat. The garlic naan is delicious. All creamy dishes taste fantastic as coconut cream is used instead of dairy. Staff are really friendly and happy to cater to all vegan requests. The restaurant is a nice place to enjoy a meal instead of a take away. It is bright and clean and the food is always cooked fresh. Making it worth the wait.

Great Vegan Options - Edit
This restaurant happily customises all vegetarian dishes and veganises them, it's very encouraging when a restaurant welcomes catering to vegans. Prices are very reasonable and food very fresh, it is located on a street with much competition from other restaurants but I always prefer to go to a place that doesn't balk at customising their dishes. They even prepared a vegan gulab jamun, and it was delightful!
