Great beer selection - Edit
Love that they have a house made quinoa and bean burger on the menu. It had good flavor. It was very crumbly. The menu said it came with arugula, tomato, pickled red onion, avocado, and garlic herb aioli. Unfortunately, all we were served was the arugula and aioli. We ordered the Vegan Tuscan White Bean soup as the side that comes with the burger. Sounds great but it was not. It was oily and salty and not a bean in sight. Couldn't eat it and told the server. A replacement was not offered. The side of steamed broccoli was served in a pool of oil. That was taken off our bill. They do have a great selection of beer and we enjoyed the Clausthauler NA and the 512 Pecan Porter. They also had pleasant live music on a Sunday afternoon. I appreciate their efforts to have vegan options but there is plenty of room for improvement.

Beyond burger & lentil soup - Edit
I added this listing to help support keeping the Beyond items on the menu! Krause’s is very much a New Braunfels institution, and having options will benefit so many people and animals. They also have a superfood salad with brussel sprouts and a lentil soup, for lighter fare. A pretzel with mustard also hits the spot 🥨

Great food for mixed company - Edit
I love that they had a couple of vegan options available. The burger and sausage options. But if they had more than just those options, that would be good too. For example some salads with accidentally vegan options instead of non vegan dressings.

Love the Biergarten vibe here and the town it’s located in is nice to visit as well. Great to have a few options when I visit. I usually get the beyond sausage platter with all the nostalgic German food I not only grew up on but enjoyed when I studied abroad in Germany

Food was good, staff knowledge on vegan options was a bit disappointing but great service otherwise. The food choices were very limited but bursting with flavor.
