Confused that vegan does not equal gluten free - Edit
This review is for the Mayfair location but still probably applies since it is the same restaurant. We called ahead and was told that there were at least four soup bases that were vegan but when we arrived every member of the staff was confused on what vegan actually means and they kept calling us gluten free. We were told the only soup base we could get that would be vegan is the gluten free base which honestly just looked like water. You can customize your soup base a little more at the appetizer bar but we were told that the only vegan options were teriyaki and soy sauce. The food was good and it was a fun experience but I didn’t really enjoy being called and confused for gluten free the entire night. Our waitress was super nice, no negativity towards the waitstaff whatsoever just I feel like a restaurant that is on happy cow should at least know the definition of what vegan is and that it is not the same thing as gluten free. We also paid the extra fee to bring our left over soup base home as take out because we didn’t want it to go to waste (a whopping $5 for just the liquid, no actual food leftover) and the next day our clear liquid had turned gray brown and smelled sour and inedible. Would have liked the warning that it does not last overnight and would have liked to skip the extra $5. My advice is to come for lunch as the prices are WAY LESS than for dinner.

Fun Hot Pot Experience - Edit
Been here a few times for the all you can eat hot pot. The food is what you would expect for buffet type quality, but it is still a fun experience. They have two vegan soup bases and several tofu, veggies, and noodles to choose from.
