Still my favourite food in Budapest - Edit
Came here 5 years ago and loved it and back today and still love it so much.
Read moreWe ordered loads of food between myself and my meat eating partner and loved everything! Highlights for him were the goulash and bean burger and the star was the custard pastry.
I absolutely loved the cottage cheese pasta (it’s simple in flavour but very nice) and the cabbage pickle was my stand out.
The pancake cake was also delicious.
We got 3 courses each, a side and a beer each for £30 total, which is great value in my eyes and it’s been the first all vegan place I took my partner to in the city and it’s been his favourite so far!
Service was relaxed but very friendly and the atmosphere was the same
Pros: Good value, Large portions , DELICIOUS
Cons: Annoying loud tourist girl in the corner, This isn’t the restaurant’s fault of course, I am also a tourist

Answer to our wishes!!! - Edit
Amazing vegan goulash (!!!!!!) and seitan stew. We absolutely loved this place - as vegetarians we often miss out on trying local cuisine however this allowed us to try traditional style food in a lovely homely environment. Staff were wonderful. Prices are good. Trust the reviews, this place isn’t to be missed!!!

fast and cute - Edit
I liked the atmosphere in this very cute Souterrain restaurant. The bean burger tasted very tasty - especially the sauces. The bun however was on the mushy side - which caused me to only give 3 out of 5. the fries were great too 🙂

It was good at the beginning - Edit
It was good when it opened, but not anymore. Slow service + the smell of my clothes after I leave the place... Lack of variety.

Interesting place with a good vibe. Amazingly, the first time that my girlfriend liked vegan cheese and the pasta was really tasty. The soup was heavier than we expected but we would repeat

Decent hungarian dishes but service was oddly under average - Edit
Ordered goulash, bean burger and the gyros.
Read moreGoulash and bean burger was great!! Gyros was ok but it shared the same sauce as the dressing for the plain unwelcoming salad side. I don't recommend this dish.
The lady serving us was quick to respond but didn't seem to have a human touch. For e.g:
-i said that the sauce wasn't enough for the plain salad as well as the gyros, she left before I finished talking and brought me another sauce and later during the bill, find out she charged me for it on the bill.
-i asked about the beetroot juice and expressed uncertainty if it'll be good. She didn't say anything and served it. Turned out to be quite bitter. I asked for a lil bit of apple juice to help balance it out and she admitted that the beetroot juice would be bitter and served some apple juice. She charged me for that little bit of apple juice on the bill too.
-the bill receipt didn't reflect the items I ordered (only had the price and number of items) and I had to explicitly ask what each item was on the bill to clarify what I was paying for
-she had great service to another table of brits (laughing and chatting), so I find it weird with the difference of treatment.
Would have been 4 stars for food but the weird service really dulled the experience so 3 stars for this.

Warming, Spicy Pumpkin Pecan Soup - Edit
I stopped here for an afternoon snack. I ordered a Pumpkin Pecan Soup and steamed oatmilk. The soup was a little spicy, but the flavors worked well together. I would go back.

Really cute restaurant - Edit
This was the first vegan restaurant that I have ever tried, and it was a really good experience. The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and you can try traditional Hungarian foods in a vegan version. I've tried the seitan "pörkölt", and it was amazing. They have a lot of burgers, too. You can also try a soup and cake combo for a quick lunch.

We were absolutely in love with this restaurant: the location is really beautiful, its fully vegan, really tasty and also super cheap. We had the bean goulash and the Seitan stew plus hungarian cakes for dessert and we were more than happy! The food was also served really quickly and staff was super friendly!

We came here specifically to try some traditional Hungarian dishes and they didn’t disappoint. The Csusza is a cottage cheese pasta that was super tasty and we also tried a seitan stew with nokedli. Very yummy!

Good food, awful service. - Edit
The food we had here was one of the better examples of veganised traditional Hungarian dishes. The seitan stew with nokedli and the cottage cheese pasta were both very tasty. The desserts were also delicious. However it took an absurd amount of time to get this food. In fairness we were served our mains and drinks in the traditional way. Someone came over, took our order and brought it to our table. Beyond this we had to resort to approaching staff on the floor, asking first for pickles and then for dessert. Even when we asked for dessert it took around twenty minutes to receive it, despite it being pre-made, in a glass cabinet. Perhaps it would have been easier to simply take the desserts ourselves - I’m sure I could have done a better job of plating it.

Mother-Daughter-Run restaurant of deliciousness - Edit
We stopped here for a late lunch. It was really good, and they are super friendly and talkative. It’s a really nice place that has a cozy atmosphere. It’s located in a basement, and the brick-walls give it that extra touch. Food-wise we were amazed. It reminded us partially of home, despite that we’re from completely opposite parts of the world. We had a small starter-soup which was delicious and very tasty. It was a cold tomato soup, so it was really refreshing at the same time. We then shared two different dishes, the gyros-plate, and the seitan stew. Both just really really good. We asked for additional pickles and shared a sweet dessert that was like a sweat cake with pudding. Wonderful. 11 out of 10. We recommend everyone to go here!
