Sleek modern style, friendly ambience - Edit
Location: next to entrance to Okunoin Budhhist cemetery , the last stop on local bus "Okunoin-Mae " on the main road. The cemetery is a landmark and famous site; Koyasan is a walkable town and guests can go everywhere on foot.
Food & ambience: This cleverly designed guesthouse has dorm beds (capsule style) and private bedrooms for 2 or more people, with immaculate shared toilets and showers, a common room -lounge offering free tea or spring water. There is a bar with Japanese beers & a great sake tasting menu & a breakfast - dinner seating area. Guests can pre order Thai vegetable or chickpea tomato curries (vegan) or yummy breakfast of coffee,/tea , raisin bread, jam, fresh fruit , salad greens (vegan ) or also yogurt (for dairy eaters). The English speaking hosts are generous with travel tips, and guests can wander the cemetery next door or attend the 6 AM service there easily.
Pros: Convenient location , Friendly welcoming atmosphere , Vegan dinner option
