Make a reservation as soon as you know you’re coming to niseko - Edit
Reservations open at the beginning of October for Dec-Jan! We got in on a cancelation but they were fully booked otherwise everyday we were here.
Read moreI had the tofu hotpot, kinpira gobo and nori avocado and all was very delicious and good quality. Highly recommend you visit. Also, if you have a problem with sitting on tatami mats, make sure to specify in the reservation your seating preference.
Cons: No vegan dessert.

Excellent service and delicious vegan options - Edit
We enjoyed a selection of vegetarian (some possibly vegan) Japanese tapas, a Daikon salad and both the agedashi tofu and agedashi eggplant. All the food was fresh and delicious.
Read moreThe staff were very friendly and attentive, and the server enquired about our dietary requirements when she observed we had selected vegetarian/vegan options (or those able to be made so), all of which are all marked clearly on the menu (which is available in English). The responsiveness of the staff is reflected in the server having enquired if we wanted the agedashi dishes to be made without fish stock (which we did), and then thoughtfully advising us that the flavour would be different; we were happy to discover that it was still packed with flavour.
Although this restaurant is not entirely vegetarian or vegan, it was a welcome ‘island’ of vegetarian and apparently vegan options in a sea of Japanese restaurants in the Hirafu area whose dishes all include meat and/or fish. Even better- the food, service and ambience were great.
Pros: Several vegan options, Friendly attentive service, Delightful atmosphere
Cons: Not entirely vegetarian/vegan menu
